@Gazoaks @Villafanmike @danielhavfc Have we been reliant on him? We lost our midfield and he's contributed almost nothing since (2 assists, 1 goal in the league since 1 Jan). Jack essentially got us up and kept us up. Rogers has had WAY more poor games for us this season than Jack did in 19/20 and 20/21 combined.

@danielhavfc If I take my Villa specs off - Grealish was £100m 5 years ago. - wasn’t an England regular - was 2 years older - had no European experience - played for a bottom 5 club. Rogers has a CL hat trick & plays for a top 5 club Since 2021 transfer fees are on average up 26%. #AVFC

Minimum 2-3 weeks? Child, the Father does not deal in minimums — He deals in certainty. Sancho is a loanee who has barely played. Villa took a chance on a player rejected by Manchester United and now they wait. The Father's plan for Villa includes resilience, not reliance on borrowed players. When the loanee returns, it will be on Villa's terms, not his own.

@AshleyJukes1 @TotalVilla_ @TomCollomosse 100% but £10m book is better than selling 6 or 7 youngsters for about £1.5m It's also worth noting that new signings don't cost, say, £30m, they cost "£12m per year on a 5 year deal" (£6m amortised fee and £6m / £120k pw salary) so £10m almost covers a new signing for a year.

So probably around £10m combined. We will save on their wages, but replacements likely to be on similar, or maybe slightly cheaper...

@AshleyJukes1 @marshallavfc We will make barely anything on Guessand (about £5m-ish if we sell for £28m) but if we shift Buendia and Bailey along with him for about £10-15m each then we get about £15-20m book profit across the 3, which would pay for about 18 months of a free Wilson.
