Have you tried to get tickets for your favourite artist only to find massively inflated prices as they’re resold by ticket touts? Today, we set out plans to fix that and we want your views.

.@Matthew_Wright at @LBC has shone a light on the REAL story of government foot-dragging on leasehold. He gave the grassroots leaseholders a platform. Leaseholders voted for change, not to be buried under consultations for years. This is a cost of living emergency.

🇮🇪 In Ireland, a new scheme has been launched to retrospectively reimburse flat-owners who have already paid remediation costs & service charge levies👇 Up to 100k 'celtic tiger' flats & duplexes are affected by construction defects & govt has committed over €2bn of funding 1/

Watch this excellent BBC video: Freeholders in🏴🏴can't be trusted to do the right thing by leaseholders. Leasehold must be replaced by commonhold to finally close the swiss cheese of legal loopholes freeholders use to scam leaseholders every chance they get @mtpennycook

Shocking to bring this in without an exemption for flats in purpose built blocks. @mhclg & @AngelaRayner are fully aware that flats cannot be sold, even after remediation, due to the #BuildingSafetyCrisis & #LeaseholdScam. This just keeps people prisoners in unfit accommodation.

@MartinSLewis What about supporting those who are stuck owning apartments that they can't sell due to cladding/remedial issues? I am now being punished with an additional 2%, 5% is ridiculous for people in my situation... it shouldn't even be allowed.

@HarryScoffin @UKLabour @NewStatesman Nothing will happen on leasehold for 2 reasons. For existing leaseholds it is too difficult to rearrange freeholds and “compensate” freeholders. For future developments ( ie the governments 1.5m homes), leasehold and fleece hold provides the funding vehicles1/2

A more political Number 10 would not have allowed drift to set in with @UKLabour’s headline policy of ending leasehold. There would have been no months-long silence after a strong King’s Speech. I make the Labour case in the @NewStatesman today. newstatesman.com/business/econo…

🚨@UKLabour LEAVES LEASEHOLDERS AT BREAKING POINT🚨 On the weekend, the Housing Minister let slip to @LBC radio that leaseholders can now expect to wait up to a whole Parliament to be freed. We don’t have 5 more years! And this isn’t what was pledged in the King’s Speech.
