@OffgridIreland @12fiacmayoGrace Absolutely Gabh. I have had my own struggles and doctors have always tried to push me onto anti-depressants, I know too many people who are on anti-depressants and are still depressed so kinda doesn’t make sense for me to take them (which I never had).

@OffgridIreland Totally. And they expect us to congratulate them on wanting to spend 6 million on 4 public toilets as if we are getting a good deal. If I put a tender in at that price on a private job I would expect be laughed at.

‼️ One of the protesters who joined last week’s fuel tax blockades has taken his own life.
I warned exactly this could happen on X Spaces last week families staring down business closures, crippling debt, lost homes, and the quiet despair that too often leads to addiction, depression, and suicide.
Politicians and their media echo chamber are still too busy smearing decent working people as “extremists” to notice the human wreckage their policies are creating.
This isn’t about “lining pockets.” It’s about ordinary Irish families pushed to the absolute brink after two decades of the same failed approach. R.I.P. brother. ✝️

I genuinely sympathize with @RourkeTony - a horrible situation for him, his wife, and family. He mentions endangering life, but I think many ignore how the lives of those protesting could and likely will unfold if demands are not met. What impact will it have on the thousands of families facing business closures? Debt, loss of homes, homelessness, and addiction to escape from reality which all in turn often leads to depression and suicide. It's easy to say this is all about lining their pockets but it isn't. This country has had 20 years of non-stop pounding from FFG and it has pushed society to its very brink. It's a rotten situation all brought about by FFG arrogance and ignorance of working class Irish people.

@OffgridIreland Your 100% right. Many are losing hope. As hard as times are currently, it will get worse. Government will have their comforts. The rest have to scrimp and scrape just to get by and even at that many won’t . Our government hates us and anyone who things different is brainwashed.
