We shouldn’t treat this as some chismis lang. We should point blank ask the Palace, @Claire Castro specifically, what he is sick of. Remember: Under the 1987 Constitution (Article VII, Section 12), the President is required to disclose the state of his health to the public if he is seriously ill. So if there is a deliberate concealment, the possible violations are: A. Violation of the Constitution Failure to disclose a serious illness can be considered a breach of constitutional duty. This can be a ground for impeachment, specifically: Betrayal of public trust Possibly culpable violation of the Constitution 2. If false information is given to the public If the Palace (including Claire Castro) knowingly lies about the President’s condition: A. Falsification / Dishonesty in public office Dishonesty Conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service These are administrative offenses for government officials. B. Violation of ethical standards Under the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials (RA 6713): Public officials must provide accurate information and act with transparency. Deliberate lying can lead to administrative sanctions (suspension and dismissal, especially for Claire Castro.) 3. Liability of the spokesperson Claire Castro could face: Administrative liability (dishonesty, misconduct) Conspiracy if proven they knowingly participated in deception. So yes this isn’t a chismisan level discussion because this affects our country.
