📌#GeMWeeklyBulletin GeM continues to drive large-scale, transparent and efficient public procurement, with deeper institutional engagement across sectors and large-scale orders. #GeMinDelhi GeM was invited to participate in the inaugural session of CCTV TECH INDIA 2026, organised by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) on 21 May 2026 in New Delhi. Speaking at the event, Shri Ajit B. Chavan, Addl. CEO & Chief Seller Officer, GeM, highlighted GeM’s role in creating business opportunities for the CCTV ecosystem through public procurement. He also emphasised the importance of compliance with mandatory sectoral guidelines and certifications to strengthen the Make in India initiative and ensure a secure and reliable surveillance ecosystem. Shri Chavan further underlined the transformative potential of AI and system integration in delivering societal benefits. He expressed confidence that collaborations with industry bodies such as @phdcci would further support GeM’s Startup Runway initiative by enabling the onboarding of emerging technologies and fostering innovation-led inclusive growth in India. 💼 Major Bids on GeM ✅Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemical Limited awarded a ₹455 Crore bid for procurement of Pre-treated Used Cooking Oil (UCO) for production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Addressed the media today at Vanijya Bhawan. Just two months after the launch of the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna (BHAVYA), the Modi Government today launched the scheme guidelines and invited States & Union Territories to apply for the establishment of world-class industrial parks. Highlighted how these parks, equipped with plug-and-play infrastructure, will boost industrial growth, attract investments, generate employment opportunities, and enhance ease of doing business. As part of the celebrations marking the Incorporation Day of the Government e Marketplace (GeM), a workshop on the theme “Accelerating Defence Efficiency through Digital Transformation” was organised with active participation from officials of the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, DGAFMS, DGMS DRDO, BRO, Indian Coast Guard and various DPSUs. The workshop focused on deliberations relating to process improvements, technological interventions and enhancement of user experience on the GeM platform, with the aim of better aligning the system with the operational, logistical and procurement requirements of the Defence Services. Discussions were also held on the roadmap for GeM and key functionalities and other digital procurement initiatives intended to enhance efficiency, flexibility, transparency and ease of procurement.
