Irish 🇮🇪 broadcaster RTE had announced that instead of airing the Eurovision final, they would air a Eurovision-themed episode of "Father Ted". Co-creator of "Father Ted" Graham Linehan has said he objects “in the strongest possible terms” to his show being aired in place of Eurovision, accusing RTE of an “antisemitic” boycott.

@rtenews RTÉ, against the backdrop of more "native" young talent fleeing the country for economic reasons and better lives, beating the Fianna Fáil drum to grease the wheels for higher immigration levels.

@RTEgaa RTÉ has no issue funding cash to procure imported dramas, baking and travel shows of dubious value, but hesitates when it comes to strengthening its GAA and other sports output. If programme congestion is a problem, launch a dedicated sports channel. Or provide more money to TG4.

@Default69202648 @davok64 Isn't this what the freedom patriots and founders of this "great nation" fought and died for in 1916 - 1922? More gals of African heritage and diversity conquering the Kingdom of Kerry and the coveted Rose!

@harryjsisson Would Steve have more luck if he ran under his real name Hircsák, the name his parents had when they emigrated to England in 1956. Didn't Steve betray Conservative boss David Cameron and vote Green? He was satirized in the BBC political comedy as a herbal tea drinking PR leftie.

This is insane. Steve Hilton, who Trump endorsed for California governor, can’t say that Biden won the 2020 election. These people are absolutely pathetic. They live in fantasy land

Small businesses are the heartbeat of California, but Sacramento treats them like the enemy. I’m ending the bureaucratic war on job creators by sunsetting old regulations and making every new one pay for itself. Less red tape means more jobs, higher wages, and thriving Main Streets again. Working people and the entrepreneurs who employ them deserve a government that works for them, not against them. ☀️👊

Clare are going to need a massive second half, and to be fair we’ve seen big swings in matches before. But Limerick outmanned and outhurled the Banner so comprehensively in that first period. Hugely impressive.

@LangmanVince Spare a kind thought for Vince Langman, a man genius who clearly knows more about the airline industry than Spirit Airlines' Board or CEO who attributed the airline's demise to rising fuel and debt servicing costs coupled with costs associated with replacing ageing aircraft.

Kemi Badenoch has apologised after footage from Bloody Sunday was used in social media posts criticising a bill on legacy issues in Northern Ireland. The Conservative leader said on Saturday that she did not sign off on the use of a clip from the massacre, in which British soldiers opened fire on unarmed civil rights demonstrators in Derry, and that it was distributed by “very young people”. The video was posted on Badenoch’s social media channels on Tuesday, claiming Labour’s proposed changes would “drag” British Troubles veterans back to court. Colum Eastwood, the SDLP MP for the Foyle constituency that covers Derry, said he was “shocked” to see Badenoch “trumpeting the service of British soldiers in Northern Ireland using footage from Bloody Sunday”.

@nypost Did Charles royally troll Trump with that "namesake bell"? The bell was taken from a WW2 Triton-class sub when it was scrapped in 1971. The sub wasn't named after a person but is British slang for "win". Interestingly, Trump also British slang for flatulence. Well done Charles.

Comedian Tim Allen is trolling Democratic lawmakers who attended “No Kings” protests against President Trump—then were seen fawning over King Charles III when he spoke before Congress. “Would have been funny to see the facial reactions of an actual King with a no Kings parade yelling at him.” Rep. Ilhan Omar attended the royal address weeks after speaking at a “No Kings” rally in Minnesota.
