I finished Misery! This is the first King book I’ve read since finishing The Dark Tower two years ago. I guess I had a King slump.

@brianbell7 @ARWitham The story is about to take more shape in the next few chapters. Like you I was hooked by chapter 6 but really enjoyed how the story became its own thing the further it went.

current listen is "Don't Die Dave" by @ARWitham Everyone, it's excellent LitRPG. I mean it. Even if it's not your thing, Andy is a great comic writer. The audio is exceptional. I'm only 6 chapters in, but SOLD. Will discuss in May on channel. He's onto something.

@2Goals17Sec @ARWitham I get it and everything on the cover does show up in the story but this book is so much more than its cover. I’m not a fan of LitRPG in general but the humor and surprising emotional depth in this book kept me reading!

@GeauxReadBooks @ARWitham I think if someone put a bunch of characteristics into cover art and a premise to make a book that would turn me away the most, this is what they would come up with 🤣

I finished Don’t Die Dave! Yes it has its similarities to Dungeon Crawler Carl, the author says that it inspired this story but it also stands out on its own in a big way! If you want a crazy, fun, and surprisingly emotional LitRPG story, try this! @ARWitham
