@reformedpilot @MichaelArold The author became a person of faith between books 1 and 2. It really shows in the writing. It’s not a “Christian work” so to speak but you can tell he was influenced by his faith.

@MichaelArold People will look back on Sun Eater and Ruocchio one day and it will be comparable to the way people see Dune and Herbert. Imo

Just finished “Howling Dark” by Christopher Ruocchio. A great book, from a truly generational talent. While I didn’t love parts of the middle of the books, the last 250 pages are really something special.

After Moses was a fun and inspiring read. You will find true heroes (that aren’t morally grey) working together to make an honest living (on a cool ship) while also helping those that are in need.
This has “found family” and great moral lessons.
Think Firefly meets Han Solo!
