@reformedpilot @MichaelArold The author became a person of faith between books 1 and 2. It really shows in the writing. It’s not a “Christian work” so to speak but you can tell he was influenced by his faith.

Everyone is talking about Dune. Read this, it's better. Especially if you're a Christian.

The Words of Kings and Prophets by @shaunaLwrites was fantastic. And Gormflaith might be the new Cersei Lannister… only intelligent, and possibly even more viciously cruel. Which I just love btw

@GeauxReadBooks I think you're right about that. Something about the way he writes man. He had me from the first paragraph of Empire of Silence.

@MichaelArold People will look back on Sun Eater and Ruocchio one day and it will be comparable to the way people see Dune and Herbert. Imo

@GeauxReadBooks Indeed! I love Dune, im just trying to ride the dune hype to get Sun Eater some more recognition.

@ZB_Steele I’m not sure that there is a clear cut winner but I’ll go with Aragon since he’s my favorite character.

If you're limited to one, what's your favorite fantasy/sci-fi work of all time? Can be a single book, a trilogy, a series, etc etc, but you can only pick one

@ZB_Steele Not sure about “boyfriend or looks,” but both exemplify aspects that make them great husband material, or at least the type of husband that I would aspire to be.

@GeauxReadBooks Sickness, ty my friend. We had a debate on the nerdy nebula podcast a while back that I want you to weigh in on: Who would be the better boyfriend, with looks/capability included, Sam or Aragorn?

Just finished “Howling Dark” by Christopher Ruocchio. A great book, from a truly generational talent. While I didn’t love parts of the middle of the books, the last 250 pages are really something special. 9 out of 10.

@AuthorGFAllen I just look at it like this, every book I’ll ever want to read is on my TBR so I’m never cheating on it.

What book are you reading? I know you’re cheating on your TBR list, I just can’t prove it.

After Moses was a fun and inspiring read. You will find true heroes (that aren’t morally grey) working together to make an honest living (on a cool ship) while also helping those that are in need. This has “found family” and great moral lessons. Think Firefly meets Han Solo! @MichaelFKane
