Palestinians are not some ancient people. Palestinian identity started to coalesce from 1917 to 1948 for two reasons. A. Arab nationalism. After the fall of the Ottoman Empire, many Arabs yearned to be free of British rule. B. An absolute opposition to living with Jews. This is why Jews that purchased land legally were the victims of terrorist violence. They’ve rejected their own state many times. It’s very clear to me that in 2025, their desire to eliminate Jews is stronger than their desire for their own state. At some point, the West has to stop projecting its own values onto people who don’t share them. That’s not prejudice - it’s pattern recognition.
