@libsyn so much for cooperation with the podcast standards project. What’s up with you folks adding podroll in a different configuration then what was spec’d over two years ago and is being actively deployed in apps you guys are assholes. Nothing like distorting the specification and doing as you want did you guys even consider what’s being done already by the rest of the podcasting space again assholes!

Credit where credit is due: I bought an Alen 75i air purifier back in 2019. Recently, the control panel stopped working, and I braced myself for the usual hassle of dealing with customer service. Instead, I was blown away. All I had to do was provide the serial number and proof of purchase from Amazon—and to my surprise, they replaced the entire unit at no cost. We’re talking about a $500+ air purifier, completely replaced. That kind of customer service is rare these days, and Alen absolutely delivered.

View of Starship landing burn and splashdown on Flight 10, made possible by SpaceX’s recovery team. Starship made it through reentry with intentionally missing tiles, completed maneuvers to intentionally stress its flaps, had visible damage to its aft skirt and flaps, and still executed a flip and landing burn that placed it approximately 3 meters from its targeted splashdown point

@FrontierCorp you should’ve asked us before you put your fiber box where you put it. In the spring there’ll be 2 foot of water over the top of that box.

@PodcastMovement @SoundsProfNews Podcast Movement 2025: A Turning Point I just returned from Podcast Movement 2025 in Dallas. The event was smaller than in years past, with fewer vendors and attendees. However, I will give credit where it’s due: their local outreach in the Dallas metroplex was effective. We saw new and curious creators from the local area attending. That said, the reality is this: we did not meet new creators from outside the area. For a show that once called itself the premier podcasting event, that’s telling. I’ll be blunt: heading into this event, I thought this might be Blubrry’s last Podcast Movement. In recent years, ROI hasn’t justified the cost. But we walked away with ~50 leads. For a show of this size, it should’ve been closer to 250. Still, considering my expectations were near zero, I’ll take it. But let’s address the bigger picture. The Creator Gap: PM has shifted away from serving creators. Midweek scheduling and high travel costs leave independents locked out. There’s no weekend crossover for those with day jobs or limited PTO. Even with discounted local tickets, the model doesn’t scale. The New Structure: Podcast Movement now owns Sounds Profitable and holds a 50% stake in Podnews. That’s a lot of built-in advertising power. But consolidation won’t fix the fundamental issue: the creator audience is slipping away. The Future Venues: SXSW and New York City. Both are incredibly expensive. NYC may pull regional traffic, but if the dates don’t shift to allow weekend sessions, creators outside the Northeast won’t make the trip. SXSW? Even less accessible—hotels, flights, and tickets are through the roof. If PM wants to win creators back, here’s my challenge: 1. Offer day passes. 2. Ensure weekend access—a whole Saturday track at minimum. 3. Decide who matters most and be clear about it: the business crowd, or the creators who built this industry. This isn’t just about one event. It’s about whether Podcast Movement can remain relevant to the entire podcast ecosystem. Right now, it’s at a crossroads. For me? Low expectations meant I left Dallas “satisfied.” However, for the long-term sustainability of this event, satisfaction alone won’t suffice. “What do you think—should Podcast Movement prioritize creators again, or is the industry too far down the business-first path?”
