My ardent wish for America, a country I admire, is that its next President should be Kamala Harris. Her win will yield many firsts. But most importantly, her main campaign plank defending “a woman’s right to make decisions about her own body” is at the core of democratic freedom. As the world remains silent on the gender apartheid in Afghanistan where women are silenced and invisible, we need invigorating symbols like Kamala Harris to keep up our spirits!
