I watched this movie with absolutely no foreknowledge of what it was about, merely on the quality of the two leading cast members. I was not disappointed, not even a little bit. This was a REMARKABLY good and refreshing movie. It ticks all the boxes and checks virtually every conspiracy theory into one tidy package. If you're familiar with all the bigger rabbit holes out there you'll definitely get charge from it. No spoilers here, just go and watch it, you won't be disappointed.

Bugonia isn't a comedy. It's a documentary. If your boss isn't an alien trying to kill the bees, explain why honey is more expensive than gas. Lanthimos understood the assignment. 🎬🎥 Bugonia 🔥❤️

I'm old enough to remember a time when you would drive at night or through the countryside and have a windshield of bugs on it when you're done. This is an extremely rare occurrence now. One that should concern everyone. Those bugs represented a baseline of the food chain ... one that is now sorely lacking. The other would be tree frogs. When I was a kid, you could find them on virtually every tree in the Pacific Northwest, even in urban areas. There were so many they'd keep you up at night in the summer from all their singing. But no longer. It's very quiet at night now. No bugs and no frogs.
