@drp825_ I looked at total return over 10Y and 20Y periods. I never found a single thing which beat $VOO

@SCHDETF Agree Realty would be another REIT to consider. More upside potential than O and also pays monthly.

Am I doing it wrong? Yesterday I received $305.20 in dividends from $VICI Here’s how I think about it… I reinvest my REIT dividends right back into REITs. Almost like a real estate savings account. Simple setup: $VICI $O That’s it. Despite the ordinary taxation of their dividends I keep this in my taxable account because the goal is to eventually roll it into physical real estate. Until then: Collect income Reinvest Let it compound Repeat I’m basically letting the real estate market work for me while I build capital on the side. Here’s where the real estate portfolio stands so far. Any thoughts?👇

@ModernDayInves The problem with yieldmax is they write options on 100% of the assets and don’t allow for any growth what so ever. Immediately losing NAV. If I were buying option income ETFs I’d stick with only Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan. Gpiq is a good place to start.

@Leo_Traydes Disagree. Both have their advantages which is why both even exist. Ones before you retire ones when you decide to retire. I’m not waiting until I’m 59 1/2 to use my Roth IRA profits/contributions.

Unpopular opinion on X - If you’re young and building wealth in a taxable brokerage but aren’t maxing your Roth IRA… you have your priorities completely out of line

@DividendRob Not a fan of Roundhill ETFs. Those that are should consider more well known companies for high income ETFs such as JP Morgan or Goldman Sachs.

Funny thing is the $SCHD haters never understood what it actually is 🤷‍♂️ It’s a dividend growth fund With real appreciation too, not just yield 📈 Historically 10%+ dividend growth per year That means today’s 3.82% yield doesn’t stay 3.82% In 10 years, your yield on cost is north of 10% Put it in real life terms 👇 If you’re making 10k per year in SCHD dividends today That’s a part time job With a 10% raise every single year 💰 Do the math 10k today 25k after 10 years 67k after 20 years 175k after 30 years…every year! That’s not hype That’s compounding That’s the closest thing to an ultimate pension plan most people will ever see 🧮 And yes The shares themselves grow over time too 😏 Patience always wins Noise never does

People on this app need to stop preaching taking risk You are talking to beginners with no knowledge You are setting them up for failure because “you are young and can recover your losses” Seriously, if you are young start with ETFs and maybe some large caps. nfa Risk doesn’t mean be an idiot with your money because your timeframe is bigger Huge pet peeve of mine

Growth investing is often labeled as more tax-efficient, but that isn’t always true. The taxes don’t disappear they’re simply deferred. When you eventually sell a large position in a growth stock or ETF, the gains are hit with capital gains tax, which in many cases is taxed at the same rate as qualified dividends. That means the tax advantage is frequently overstated. Meanwhile, dividend-focused investments can provide ongoing income without forcing you to sell assets, and certain vehicles like REITs offer additional tax benefits, such as the Qualified Business Income deduction, which can significantly reduce the effective tax burden.

My portfolio pays me $7,477 annually in dividends. I reinvest all of it. That means, even if I contribute $0 out of pocket, my portfolio is adding $20/day, on average, in investments. Compounding at its finest.

@ElijahColeman21 Currently have 25% in GPIQ, 25% VOO, 25% XLK, 25% SCHD. Believe it or not I’m considering selling VOO and splitting that into XLK and SCHD. I don’t like the overlap. More of a hybrid approach. I like it. Always have👍🏼

I don’t earn a crazy amount of money. I don’t have a $100k or $1 million portfolio. I’m not the best investor. But I’ll still be ahead of most people because I’m investing what I can and learning along the way. Even if it’s a little at a time.

Been running math on my 401k. If nothing changes drastically and I keep working until 65. I’ll have about 10 million. The question is will that be enough in 30 years?
