People that may be wondering my thoughts on the @NCAA sanctions against @UMichFootball How’s this for ya? 🤷‍♂️So what? If I’m a Wolverines fan I’m 😂😂😂. Those that hate Michigan post away, and throw out all your venom but know this, it doesn’t matter and the days of recognizing the NCAA as a true policing agency are long OVER. The NCAA managed to wait until the week before the start of the season solely to stain the sport, and undermine CFB’s start to what will be another incredible year. As for the “show causes” and suspension of games for Sherrone again so what? 30 million is NOTHING to a program with their financial might. As for fans of all other schools that were treated so poorly decades before just know this your schools just didn’t fight hard enough in court. They have zero subpoena power, you shouldn’t have caved to them. It’s a new day however, and CFB’s run by the Conferences now. School Administrators had better understand that moving forward these powerful programs must now govern themselves, and accept the guard rails in front of ya and ignore the powerless body formerly known as the NCAA. Michigan’s Title is no less important, or factual! Then again, I never recognized vacated wins for Bobby Bowden @FSUFootball or the major sanctions that hurt @CanesFootball or all but 2 conference members that were on Probation when the late great Mike Slive was hired as Commissioner of the @SEC. The NCAA bullied programs for years and in the words of Dale Brown were “gestapo bastards” and while many scoffed at such comments then, now as their power has been diminished by the courts, we all see their institution for what it is now! Meanwhile, toe meets leather Saturday for my team @FOXSports in Lawrence Kansas. This story, will not be on my radar then, and the celebration of CFB in America 🇺🇸 will be my focus!
