I wonder if Reaves would be willing to sign a descending contract. Starting him at 40m and ending at 32m would be the best path forward for a team building process. 5yr 180m. Pays him well and the Lakers take the biggest hit in year 1 when it affects them the least.

@thatguybix9 maybe my math is wrong cuz i'm just going off bball reference, but they have about 34 mil in cap space next year if they waive Svi and Filipowski. I think they can easily move expiring Konchar and Cody Williams (6 mil each) for 2nd rounders and get the space they need,

@hoopsnsuplexes 180m over 5 years is still a helluva check.. 36m AAV. That number allows us to better build a winner around him and Luka moving forward. Brunson did it for NYK

@RyanParsons31 @Tim_NBA I guess that could work too. This years salary doesn’t hurt the apron at all so descending from his 41.5m max brings him under 40m for every other year and should have him under 20% of the cap by year 3
