I’ve been on the island of Caye Caulker for a month now, and I couldn’t help but notice the CC impacts it had. It compelled me to do a layman CC impact assessment (anecdotal-based) in my free time to understand the challenges faced from the perspective of the the residents. 🧵

After 3 years of tireless work, I finally accomplished my dream of owning a farm. In a post Covid world, I now understand that the only thing we really need to live a fulfilling life on this Earth is food, water and shelter… ‘DUH!’ everything else is just… noise… #Grateful 🙏🏾

Having the ability to predict extreme weather events (such as flooding), is the basis for any good early warning system. As climate change gets worse, flood mitigation becomes increasingly important for effective adaptation measures for SIDS. #FloodMitigationTraining

What I'm seeing on my home island, Carriacou, must not become humanity's new normal. If governments everywhere don’t step up, 8 billion people will be facing this blunt force trauma head on, on a continuous basis. We need climate action back at the top of political agendas.
