I was visibly pregnant at a small midwestern festival and waited in a line full of Boomer women. Understand that when a woman is 8-10 months pregnant, there is a real chance of her peeing on herself if she can’t get to a restroom in time. None of these old [redacted]s let me cut in line. NONE. The worst generation of women by far, soon to be succeeded by Millennial Women.

@shebringsjoy @hoshuah @wrowclif I wear progressives and like you can't function without my glasses. I've worn glasses since I was a toddler. Once when funds were short I bought lenses online, it may have been Zenni or some other place, but they can do it.

I’m not sure I can buy glasses that way- my eyes are really weak. Cole bottles, and a lot of those online stores don’t do the prescriptions that high. @wrowclif found one that maybe can, so I’ll call the eye doctor tomorrow and see if I can at least get the numbers to plug in and see if I can get them.

What is the point of insurance, even? My glasses broke last week- it’s been almost two years since I had an eye exam, so I scheduled an appointment for this afternoon. I went through the whole process, only to find at the end that the exam itself was $45, and the ugly glasses, with no glare reduction, coatings of any type at all, single vision, etc…. Are $321. I literally just paid the exam copay, and left. So I just paid for a service I can’t even utilize, when I am having trouble putting groceries on the table. Note: I am coke bottle glasses near-sided. I cannot drive, cook, etc, without my glasses. Like- why isn’t this covered by my insurance? This is worse than the fact that dental care isn’t covered. This is what I mean when I say I am tired of living this way. What is the point of this?

@tomjedrz @hamptonism I'm glad I'm retiring in a year. I do bookkeeping and payroll for many of our tax clients & I wouldn't recommend anyone going into bookkeeping, the advances in software and AI are making it easier for small business owners to do themselves (not perfect, but it will be eventually)

@hamptonism AI is going to kill accounting the same way it will kill legal, software development, architecture, engineering, medicine, and so forth. AI can't replace the experts. But it can replace the entry level, which means there will be no people to replace the experts.

@hamptonism Because tax season is brutal, you're never home. Newer CPAs have no idea. It's stressful and thankless and the country is moving towards a more work/life balance and you won't find that working in tax. I've also noticed more firms hiring more EAs rather than CPAs.

You’re all wasting your 20s by not having roommates, I’m tellin ya. Those were great foundational memories for me. I don’t get why people think having your own apartment by 24 is normal? When I was 24, I didn’t know a single person who didn’t either have roommates or co-habitated with a significant other. Everyone needs a roommate era!

My kid is a rising senior. We’re looking at cars for her. She asked to look at the new Broncos… 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 $35000 & up. I decided to look at a RAV4 thinking I could find something less than $20000. They’re $30000 plus. I guess entry level vehicles are a thing of the past.

@Woman4W @_sorrengailll I've always moisturized, I can't not, but I've "cracked" because I didn't use sunscreen in the 70s and 80s. But most of my friends never got in the habit and now post menopause and they suffer.

Just want genuine advice,grandpa to grandpa here. I have a 7 1/2 year-old who refuses to help pick up his room. He gets overwhelmed and angry and dismissive every time I ask him to help. I understand that his room gets out of control and I try to get him to pick it up after the end of each day and it is an incredibly huge fight that honestly, I am exhausted in fighting. From one grandpa to another what should I do? I am seriously open for all suggestions!
