A message from Catherine, The Princess of Wales As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown. The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything. This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved. Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes. I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can. Despite all that has gone before I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life. William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from all those who are helping us at this time. Everyone’s kindness, empathy and compassion has been truly humbling. To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey – I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright. 🎬 by Will Warr

I'd suggest #FreddieFlintoff, #KyleHogg and BBC should be hugely congratulated for #FieldOfDreams The opportunity given to these lads, trips abroad, the passion shown by Fred & Kyle & BBC backing obvs can't be replicated in every deprived area. It shows that if you give people focus, support, trust & responsibility, they can thrive and grow. Great programme and surely lessons can be learned by cricket and beyond.

@katiesnowden13 very impressive today in Italy with a second place over 3000m in 8:40.95- a pb by seven seconds and the fastest by a Brit outdoors in 2024. @mcourtneybryant right behind with a decent 8:41.97, her fastest outdoors in six years

Thinking about stepping down from being an adult, I'm just not in the right headspace for this position right now. I really appreciate the opportunity though.

Georgia Bell's story is staggering. Born in Paris, Bell was a prodigious youngster and became English Schools 800m champion in 2008. After injuries when studying at the University of California, she lost her passion for the sport before trying it out again during Covid. Balanced a full-time job in cyber security and initially went into duathlon before turning to track once again. Taken 14 seconds off her personal 1500m best in less than a year. Astonishing.

BRITISH RECORD AND OLYMPIC BRONZE Georgia Bell is on the Olympic 1500m podium 🔥 She takes almost four seconds off her personal best to run 3:52.61 and take the Olympic bronze medal with a British record 🇬🇧 Bell is the third Brit to make the Olympic 1500m podium after Kelly Holmes (gold) at Athens 2004 and Laura Muir at Tokyo 2020 (silver) 👉 athleticsweekly.com #Paris2024

Trevor Painter and Jenny Meadows deserve to win BBC SPOTY Coaches of the Year. In Keely Hodgkinson (800m gold) and Georgia Bell (1500m bronze), they've now trained two of their athletes to the Olympic podium. M11 Track Club is on fire right now.
