@Slowpokeoak @JacobCersosimo @KMOV We’ve got a lot of work to do and hope we can get closer to realizing our potential. Anyone who is a stooges fan is ok in my book….MeTV Saturdays at 5! Thanks for engaging.

"facility, funding, & destination"
It's been 21 years since St. Louis has hosted the Final Four. During that time, Indianapolis has had the Final Four five times. Why can't STL get the event again? The short answer is The Dome can't compete with new NFL stadiums.
@KMOV
English

@Slowpokeoak @JacobCersosimo @KMOV New Orleans is definitely a destination on a unique level. Interestly, the Superdome is very old. Serviceable in the same way the dome could be.
English

@GentryHouseSTL @JacobCersosimo @KMOV The STL sports commission executive also said funding is missing. Finally, the destination factor. At this time, STL is not viewed as a FF destination.
English

@Slowpokeoak @JacobCersosimo @KMOV I understand what they are saying. But what exactly is missing besides aesthetics?
English

@GentryHouseSTL @JacobCersosimo @KMOV The STL sports commission executive admitted the facility isn't up to par for the NCAA FF. Sure, both stadiums can hold monster truck rallies, dirt bike races, football games, concerts. The fact is it's viewed and proven to be a lower-tiered facility.
English

@Slowpokeoak @JacobCersosimo @KMOV Again, no specifics given. Parking is ample. Free shuttles widely available.
English

@GentryHouseSTL @JacobCersosimo @KMOV 1) It's 30 years old; 2) When the Rams left, it was considered to be a lower-tiered facility; 3) Downtown STL is an armpit; 4) parking sucks
English

@Slowpokeoak @JacobCersosimo @KMOV Why does the dome suck? What can’t you do in it that you can in Lucas Oil?
English

@JacobCersosimo @KMOV 1) STL can come up with $20M; 2) The Dome sucks; 3) STL is not a destination city; 4) STL has a BAD perception around the country; 5) And this guy knows it's more than an up-hill battle for STL - why do you think he's smiling throughout the interview - he knows the truth.
English

@Ackerman1120 Dome is drawing 30-40K for minor league football and putting on a pretty great show with no one complaing. Has the college basketball fan’s tastes changed so much in 21 years that a nice view of the game, a beer, a concession, a hotel room & pre/post game venues aren’t enough?
English

Listen closely. The key word is regional. REGIONAL. Imploring our region’s leadership to listen to this and collaborate. #STL

@Ackerman1120 I’d like a very objective answer as to why the dome can’t compete. New stadia look really nice, but what’s the dome missing? Seats 60-70,000 for basketball. We have more corporate power than Indy. We have more hotels….frankly just plain bigger with more to offer visitors.
English

@Ackerman1120 Hey, at least the dragon slayer Bob Blitz got a large sum of money instead of thinking about all of these downstream consequences. #shortsighted
English

@CitySceneSTL What’s the status of the mass timber building?
English

@JoshSchertzSLU @KMOXSports In the end, AD’s, Coaches’ and players’ tendencies & preferences are out of our control. As fans, we will support the men put in place to steward this beautiful entity forward. #STL
English

The NFL and UFL should reach an agreement of promotion and relegation similar to the #EPL so the top UFL teams get to the NFL. Someone make this happen. @NFL @UFLgame
ProFootballTalk@ProFootballTalk
UFL attendance continues to vary sharply among cities, with the St. Louis Battlehawks still drawing the biggest crowds for spring-league football. nbcsports.com/nfl/profootbal…
English

@ProFootballTalk It’s all deadly. I’m for anything that brings more pro sports to town in a responsible manner. We’ve got the population, corporate presence and private $$ to make it work in any league.
English

English

@ProFootballTalk The rams never should’ve left STL bc they never should’ve left LA for STL to begin with. I’d like to see STL get a team one day if/when the nfl expands.
Maybe put STL in the NFC west?
English

@CS_Mon25 @ProFootballTalk I think STL in AFC West: STL KC LV DEN would be amazing……The BEER BBQ BUD BET Divison. It would have to be at expense of a rebranded Chargers, though. Don’t like dans losing teams.
English

@stevepona9 @PuckPickz Sorry, I should have set up the question better. I don’t know football well but when I watch with people that have played or coached, they see layers of a chess game that develops and evolves at each down with an analogous situational context.
English

@GentryHouseSTL @PuckPickz I'm not upset at all. And I'm all for having an exchange of opinions, perspectives, & facts. But your question was perceived as passive condescension. You didn't qualify it as anything different. FWIW, baseball has layers of situational context. Football doesn't.
English

Can someone explain to me the appeal of watching the Battlehawks like I’m 5 years old? I don’t get the team or the league

KA-KAW FOR CITY! Good luck this season, @BattlehawksUFL ⚔️
English

@Beganovic2026 The Blues Society and KDHX types should be involved. Passionate blues musicians/historians need to govern it. The lack of soulful engagement with the curation was evident.
English

@Beganovic2026 Great day @DowntownStLouis @AmericasCenter @macstlouis @BattlehawksUFL @Cardinals @StLouisBlues
English

@stevepona9 @PuckPickz Not sure why you’re upset…Just asking as you brought up quality. I agree, football is a paradox of action vs. popularity, far & away the most popular sport, so curious as to what you prefer. For me I enjoy baseball more even though it’s chastised for same reasons you gave.
English

@GentryHouseSTL @PuckPickz Oh Ffs clever man. Make your own determination of quality. If you think it’s entertaining to watch a guy play a few snaps for 5 minutes per game and make $25m, cool. You do you. I think that’s boring AF.
English

@GentryHouseSTL @PuckPickz As a general rule, popularity does not equate to quality. Case in point.
English

@stevepona9 @PuckPickz Thats true, and has always been the case with football and yet it’s most popular. Do you have any thoughts on why that is?
English

@PuckPickz Fun fact. The football is in play for an average of 10 minutes per nfl game. The rest of the 60 minute clock simply evaporates. 3.5 hours of replays from 5 angles. Geee. That sounds like fun, eh?
English
