The truly inspiring DHL has notified us that the parcel was signed for by a neighbour. They have attached a photo of the neighbour. The photo is of a horse 🙋‍♀️ 🐴

@NatashaMDay Our farm only has a name (no road) so I put 2 big signs -with name in reflective lettering- at the bottom of our track so they can be seen from either direction. I’ve also got the grid ref for land ambulance & long/lat of suitable field for air ambulance to give when I phone 999.

@ericauk The drawing is wonderful! What a talented daughter they have. I’m extremely disappointed to see you say you don’t believe her, especially in your position!! Lots of ND people need to draw, knit, make notes etc whilst they are listening to be able to take in the info.

So much rain here last night with the #storm that’s coming through. Checking the cows this morning was a bit soggy due to the gley #soil in our bottom fields! Thankfully the field they are in is on a slope so they’re sensibly staying out of the water!

@MrMetacognition London is the only place I can think of that would be worse. I drove it Leeds just after passing my driving test, cried and then refused to drive in a city for 18 years 🤣

@ParsnipsParsons Yes!! I’m a full time carer to my 2 disabled teens. I went to my first conference earlier this year & you’d think my OH had solved world hunger the way some people acted because he’d looked after his own kids- with a carer doing shifts every weekday- whilst I “swanned off”.

If I did only 40% of my job Id be sacked. If I only did 40% of the work needed to look after my child, I would get them taken off me. However, if my husband did only 40% of the things to look after my children whilst I was away I get told aww don't be horrible he did a good job

I saw a promo for the new Gladiator movie and said to my husband, “That looks good. I wonder if I need to see the original first so I know what’s going on.” My husband jumped up and with his full outside voice said, “YOU’VE NEVER SEEN GLADIATOR?!?” 2.5 hrs later, credits rolling, I said, “That was so good. I bet it won a lot of awards.” My husband, “It was nominated for 12 Academy Awards and won best picture, best actor, best costume, best visual effects, and best sound mixing. Ridley Scott was robbed of best director, but Steven Soderbergh won for Traffic, another all time great.” Me, “I’ve never seen Traffic, what’s it about?” My husband, “YOU’VE NEVER SEEN TRAFFIC?!”

@MrLGeo It’s on the list! I really liked it when I applied yrs ago. From his comments after looking at env sci & geology so far at a few unis I think env geosci is exactly what he’s after & we’ve got a few open days planned for next summer.

@GeoLottie It's a great subject and a great uni to study it at (although you should also take a peek at Southampton geology, not that I'm biased!).

Eldest loved the Leicester open day, is def adding it to his shortlist spreadsheet & is seriously considering geology after the talks & a look through the module booklets for both subjects!! After 3 days of driving 6-7hrs/day I’m very glad I don’t have to drive for a few days! 😴
