@GeodesRock49 @kevinolearytv China doesn't want you to have them either. They have a full scale social media influencer and media attack on it.

We uncovered something far bigger than I ever expected. After seeing coordinated false attacks against the Utah data center project, we brought in an advanced data science team to trace where the content was coming from and the results were shocking. What we found led back to organized networks, political activist groups, and funding trails tied to massive international entities. We dug through IRS 990 filings, tracked IP data from around the world, and uncovered what appears to be a coordinated campaign targeting energy and data center projects across multiple regions.
I shared 90 pages of evidence with federal law enforcement and raised concerns directly with contacts at the White House. This isn’t speculation. The filings, funding records, dates, and connections are documented. There’s a coordinated PR war happening around energy infrastructure and data centers, and we’re not going to ignore it.

@omgsidewalks WOW - a paragraph from your own personal "Malpractice Insurance Policy."
PS - Science is never settled.
English

Honestly, I’m sick and tired of grown adults calling the climate crisis a hoax. It’s not even a debate, the science has been settled for decades. Your ignorance is not just embarrassing, it is actively destroying the planet and every living thing on it.

@beauhightowerdn $90 a barrel spot price or June - July futures?? Big differences. Is this price for WTI, Brent, Or Abu Dhabi’s primary light, sweet crude oil termed Murban? Global market - weeks from the source to the pump. Lag time. Petroleum Supply Chain.

16 miles = 84,480 feet. The earths temperature gradient is ~1 degree F with every 100 foot of depth. So, start with 75 degrees at the surface, than at 84,480 feet the temperature is: 75 + 844= 919 degrees F. However - At 88,000 feet (~16.7 miles or 26.8 km) beneath the Earth's surface, temperatures typically range from 1300F to 1800F. This heat is driven by the Earth's Geothermal Gradient, causing temperatures to increase by about 15F to 20F for every 1,000 feet of depth. The hole is filled with air: The atmospheric pressure at 84,480 feet depth would have to be: 1. At sea level it is 14.696 PSI. 2. For an air-filled environment, the atmospheric pressure at a depth of 84,000 feet below sea level is approximately 25.2 atmospheres (atm), or roughly 370 psi. Fishing line = a fish story at best. No Geothermal hot air rising - no gasses outgassing !!

They are referring to "Mel's Hole," a famous 1997 urban legend about a bottomless pit in Ellensburg, Washington. A man named Mel Waters claimed to have lowered 15 miles (80,000 feet) of fishing line into the hole without ever reaching the bottom.
📷YouTube·Origins Explained
The Legend of Mel's Hole
In 1997, a caller named Mel Waters phoned into Coast to Coast AM—a popular late-night paranormal radio show hosted by Art Bell—to describe a strange geological anomaly on his rural property.

Impossible Depth: Waters claimed that the hole was about 9 feet in diameter and that he spooled out 80,000 feet (15 miles) of fishing line without hitting the bottom.
Supernatural Events: He alleged that throwing items into the pit made no sound and that a neighbor's deceased dog was thrown in, only to reappear alive in the woods days later.
Government Cover-up: Waters claimed that government agents quickly seized the area, forced him to leave the country with a large financial settlement, and told him the site was a secret plane crash.📷YouTube·Shawn Ryan Clips +3
Fact vs. Folklore
Geologists and scientists have thoroughly debunked the physical claims of Mel's Hole. The Earth's crust is highly pressurized at that depth, making an open, 15-mile-deep vertical pit physically impossible; the rock would cave in upon itself. Skeptics believe the story originated as an elaborate radio hoax or a creative local urban legend based on abandoned mine shafts in the Kittitas County area.

@Jomboy_ Love the game - sand lot or MLB. No cares about who wins - just love the game.
Also, Moneyball is a awesome movie.

It is all Selection Bias - Manipulation of scientific vernacular into random sentences does not constitute real science. Using "selection bias" - a false scientific method which is a distortion of evidence or data that arises from the way the data is collected. It is purposely constructed to appear scientific, when in fact, it is not. They also incorporate "reverse burden of proof" - reverse burden of proof should rest on those making the claim, not on the critic.
Weather is not climate. Four seasons, tilting earth, orbit around the Sun, and the amount of Solar Energy at any given point on the earth.
The atmosphere is composed of these gasses. Also add water. CO2 is plant food. There are three other more abundant gasses.
Two types of people - the Teacher and the student. Learn a little !!

Being a physics student and seeing all the climate change deniers hurts my brain. Even a 10 year old is smarter than this guy.

"Hottest May day for nearly 80 years", screams The Guardian. theguardian.com/uk-news/2026/m… In other words, 80 years ago it was even hotter. In other words, the climate is getting COOLER! All thanks to CO2, or so we're (without hard scientific evidence) told.

@MrLukeGeorge Weather is not climate. Red colors are for fear effect.

@pweiser @Teamsters455 Worthless post Phil. No one care what you think, do, or say. Cargill offered a final FAIR deal.
English

We need to get to a fair deal asap for the sake of the 1700 @Teamsters455 members now locked out without pay at Cargill, the Fort Morgan community, and Colorado. I joined them today in solidarity.
Phil Weiser@pweiser
Disappointed to see Cargill lock out workers in Fort Morgan. I support the workers and encourage Cargill to get back to the negotiating table to work towards a fair deal that will allow the workers back on the job. denverpost.com/2026/05/20/car…

@volcaholic1 Then change the calendar !! What has the day or month to do with the earth, the solar system, or the universe. Record on this day !!! All Scientific Physcobabble. Constants being the day of the year?? BS.
English

Heat records are going to get smashed today and tomorrow and it's still MAY. The usual geniuses are still commenting with 'it's just summer, stop moaning and of course insults.
Our houses are built to trap heat like bloody ovens. Thick insulation, brick walls, tiny windows, bugger all airflow and zero AC. Then there's humidity where your sweat can't even cool you down and it's miserable.
This is only the beginning. As global temperatures keep rising, heatwaves will become more frequent, more intense, and even harder to cope with especially in places not built for sustained extreme heat like the UK.

@pweiser It isn't going to be you Phil. You are from New York.

The choice in the Colorado Governor's race is clear--the candidate who supports overturning Citizens United in Colorado, not the candidate backed by an out-of-state billionaire. denverpost.com/2025/12/10/cit…

English

@metoffice So - the Julian Calendar controls the weather? The universe does not care about the days or the months of the year and neither does Planet Earth.
Four seasons, the tilting of the earth, the SUN.
Records are just that, a record, and meaningless.

@TheMathFlow The sequence is counter clockwise. Now try clockwise. Then view from the front vs the back overlaying both.

@SteveSebelius @AlanHalaly Thank you -I knew I was missing the point. Great idea.
English

@GeodesRock49 @AlanHalaly No, sir. Desalinate the water in California, and use it locally, while Nevada keeps the water that would otherwise have flowed to California from the river.
English

This is a commonsense idea to help ease the water crisis in Nevada. As usual, @AlanHalaly is all over it.
