@WhateleySEN @HyundaiAus Gerard might have it back to front…it’s the unexpected and unjustifiable “up charge “ topped off by the petrol increase that explains the stay-at-home preference for so many.
English

'They want your bums on those seats, and they now realise the obstacles that are in place.'
Gerard speaks on the cost of fully ticketed games.

@hasumpstuffedup @gregrymack @7AFL If Young moved to Block Lynch, then a free kick. No evidence Young changed his position. No obligation for Young to move out of Lynch’s way. Tough to adjudicate in the moment, that’s for sure.
English

@gregrymack @7AFL He blocks Lynch from the marking contest. Which allows his teammate to take an uncontested mark.
Had the teammate not been there and he marked it himself, it's a legal contest. But when you actively protect space like this and a teammate takes advantage it's a FK against

@Top100Rick Some of the courses we have in Queensland are better than Victoria. Nothing like a round in the Central Qld Autum.
English

@Top100Rick Accurate summary…excepts push carts are not always free.
English

1: Walking culture
Golf is considered a sport there and walking is a fundamental part of that.
You will see carts at some public courses and in limited use at private clubs, but it’s shunned. Even big walks like NSW are walking.
Pushcarts are the norm and provided free! Everyone carries sand to fill divots.
Golf is meant to be walked.

@mumbletwits @SackedbySheedy @rohan_connolly And to think everyone thought that Stirk was brain damaged!
English

@SackedbySheedy @rohan_connolly Those was his only line in the movie I think?
English

@gessum_petes @Top100Rick Sounds great to me. Tennis and golf are my 2 sports for playing. And who doesn’t enjoy a swim?
English

Everyone is talking about the Dallas country club prices.
Yes $250,000 is a lot. Yes $30,000 a year is a lot.
But the crazy part?
If you won Powerball tomorrow, you’d still never be able to join a bunch of them.
Preston Trail, Dallas, Northwood, Brookhollow you better go find a member to marry if you want in.

English

@brianmanzella What is the best course in Australia that you’ve played?
English

@Peter_Fitz Griffith University? Hshahahahaha.
Only an arts major would think that's impressive.
Is ANU the uni you go to when you can't get into anywhere else? Has that changed?
English

Deano, Chalmers has a First Class Honours degree in Commerce from Griffith University, and a PhD in, I think, International Relations from ANU. Pretty strong academic credentials, I'd say?
Again, who in the One Nation crowd gets close to matching it?
Dean Chill@DeanChill
@Peter_Fitz Chalmers doesn’t even know economics 101, the laws of supply and demand, so, about now, I’m not that worried about who One Nation will put up for the treasury portfolio.

@rossmacleodputt Have been having success with this approach in recent months. Played inter club match play yesterday - so a little bit of pressure- and the backswing got very short and subsequently a bad day with the putter.
English

More golfers should work on speeding up their backswings to better “load” the putter head.
Instead I constantly see slow/short backswings then over-acceleration through impact.
Causing issues around controlling putter head speed but can also affect contact, face control, launch, etc.
It’s a tough message to get out there and nearly always attracts people telling putting coaches they’re wrong.
But it’s important to putting and such a common fault that I’ll keep trying 😃
English

@ryanmouquegolf @MRileyGolf I bet you also like ‘feedback’ 🫣
English

@MRileyGolf I like the look of blades and I’m more of a traditionalist plus I want to work the ball both ways
English

@PaulFMcNamee @mikeclaytongolf Is their much variety in clay courts?
English

@cover_drive_ Bradman had many technical deficiencies…all of which made him vulnerable to getting out for less than 250.
English

@footyindustryAU The issue is raised by members at every AGM and the response is always that the club can’t afford to not have the pokies revenue.
English

@KitWalker021475 @Lightningleaf11 @ashestoarchive And if you run over the boundary after catching the ball...then it is a six.
English

@GeoffDicksonPHD @Lightningleaf11 @ashestoarchive The catch was completed before he entered that area.
English

@Lightningleaf11 @ashestoarchive In these circumstances, a ball hitting sight screen on the full would be six...a ball that rolls under would be four..and a ball that goes behind the sight screen from the side, would also be four. Waugh technically ran across/over the boundary.
English

@GeoffDicksonPHD @ashestoarchive The boundary was the fence presume if it hit the sight screen it would be 4 or 6 but behind it was still the field of play
English

@practicalgolf Or as my father would say…take your medecine son.

This is the one piece of advice that could save golfers multiple strokes overnight. That's without having to watch 150 YT videos promising to fix your slice!
But many will dismiss it because it's too simple, or let the heat of the moment get to them (happens to me too)
SweetlySamantha@samsandland22
A good friend of mine told me the best and hardest piece of advice. “When you get in trouble your #1 priority should be to get out of trouble” Takes many years and strong mental focus to implement into competitive play. Once accomplished, you’d be surprised how many shots you can save during a round. Golf is a very humbling game.
