@bigredoptions Isn’t the fund only three weeks old? And you’re refining the strategy already?

I want to speak directly to everyone who has taken a look at, asked questions about, or invested in $ULTI. From day one, we’ve had some administrative issues around the fund that have understandably caused frustration and confusion. This despite the painstaking number of hours we ran through every phase in the lead up to launch.  This is all getting better and better.  My goal is for every aspect of ULTI to match the quality and intent of the strategy itself. We have something super unique here.  There is nothing like ULTI with ~20 stocks turning over weekly and each stock starting with 4 or 5 option positions, despite all the testing I guess maybe it was inevitable we’d strain some legacy systems used in tradfi world. Keep in mind, ULTI is not a steady traditional covered call fund. It’s a volatile, hedge-fund-style approach designed to target outsized upside and outsized distributions compared to traditional covered call strategies. That kind of profile cuts both ways: when markets cooperate, it can be powerful; when they don’t, the drawdowns can feel especially painful. Unfortunately, launch day coincided with a broad market downtrend. The key to this strategy is active management – I’m actively managing the portfolio and have already taken steps to reduce downside risk, including adding another layer of puts this week which you can see in the current holdings. Performance has been pressured by this sharp market pullback. Our focus is positioning ULTI so that, as markets stabilize and recover, the strategy is ready to capture the upside. We’re committed to improving the strategy, refining the portfolio, and communicating clearly through this stretch.
