@Barca_Buzz Atleti never lost a knock out game at home in 30 years, and we never had a clean sheet this season. Not more than 10%

Realistically, how much chance are you giving Barcelona to qualify for the semi-final out of 100? 👇

This is a great example of a soft pro-Russian propaganda in Europe. No Russian in the right mind and with an ounce of shame will wear this flag in 2026 in Europe, believe me. No Ukrainian emigrant who supports their country (and I know many) would even stand next to this flag, save allow to make a photo next to it. I know some latent vatniks, both Russian and Ukrainian, that would do such a thing. There are true friendships built between Ukrainians and Russians, but they must always be on the same side. Either anti-Russia, or anti-Ukraine. There is no true neutral zone when we talk about a war of aggression.

@BouafifNour @masked8t1 Paco Alcacer was Suarez' backup, and he was a pretty good striker. The problem is that he struggled to get any minutes, exactly the issue Roony is facing now.

@masked8t1 What i'm saying is that we couldn't find a good backup to each of Messi, Neymar and Suarez individually, and now we have one player of that quality and it's looking hard to find a backup for him too

Back when we had the MSN front three, we struggled to find good backups. The reason was simple: anyone coming in as a backup to players like Messi, Neymar, or Suárez knew they’d barely get any minutes and would mostly be stuck on the bench. Because of that, good players either refused that role from the start or accepted it and then pushed to leave in a short period. I feel like we’re heading towards a similar situation with Lamine Yamal. We’re already seeing signs of it with Roony, he’s barely getting any minutes, no real rotation or substitute appearances, and only plays when Lamine is unavailable. So it wouldn’t be surprising at all if he starts looking for a move in the summer. Realistically, it’s going to be very difficult to convince a quality player to accept such a limited role.

Even Atletico & Diego Simeone knows it — that when it’s Fdj & Pedri, the story is different. If they stay so deep & low that we have to play the entire first half in their half, then Barcelona can come back even in the first half. This situation is almost inevitable & it’s an argument that favours Lewandowski (to pin CB’s in the box) & Bernal who has an immense perception of a goal threat. So? If the come back takes so long, then Bernal would get on for Fdj & in that case, Pedri will play deeper than Bernal.

@theonlymeji1 @11synergy Without Pedri and Raphinha. And the loss started with a mistake from JG. The momentum was on Atleti's side from that mistake and they killed us

Also tricky times for Bulgaria’s Rumen Radev who will try to win the parliamentary election next weekend. He has campaigned on “peace” and sovereign development within the EU and has praised Orban for his strong leadership.

Orban's loss also spells a significant defeat for Igor Dodon, Moldova's most popular pro-Russian politician. Dodon has been lionizing Hungary as a sovereignist beacon against EU integration and globalism, and as a pragmatic model for cooperation with Russia ...

Putting Orban aside, Slovakia's Fico has become MUCH more valuable to Putin. Likely negotiating a new deal with the Russian dictator as we speak. Paralyzing the EU now rests on his shoulders almost completely, maybe with a side deal for Babis.

Now that Orban is history, it's time for EU to go all in: First, finally push trough that 90 billion € aid package for Ukraine. Next, hit russia hard with the 20th sanction package. Put everything in motion which was vetoed and stopped by Orban ✊️

Why do Trump and Vance support Orbán? Forget MAGA. Forget national conservatism. Forget the culture war. This is about Putin. Putin controls them both. When Vance flies to Budapest and Trump posts declarations of support on Truth Social, it is not because they admire Orbán's Hungarian model. It is because Putin needs Orbán - and has told Trump to deliver. Orbán is Putin's most valuable asset inside the EU and NATO. He blocks sanctions, maintains Hungary's gas dependence on Russia, and serves as the Kremlin's only real back-channel to the West. He is not an ideological ally - he is a strategic instrument. And then comes the uncomfortable question: Trump supports Orbán even when it costs him politically. Why? Because Trump is not the one calling the shots here. Putin is. And just imagine what will spill out about Putin's direct involvement in backing hard-right forces across Europe - and how Trump and his associates have received support, directly and indirectly, from Putin via Hungary - when Orbán finally falls. Which is precisely why both Putin and Trump are absolutely terrified of that moment.

The most tactical approach I’ve ever seen Barça take ahead of a CL game was against Madrid at the Bernabéu in 2011. We had just lost the CdR final to them and they expected us to come out guns blazing so they could hit us at the counter. Instead we played the ball around in our own half waiting for them to get frustrated and eventually taking our chance when we got it.

@panyiszabolcs High turnout actually favors Fidesz because most of the Hungarians who didn't vote in previous elections were from the Rural regions of Hungary that were already Conservative & Pro-Christian values. So, high voter turnout means more votes for Fidesz or Mi Hazank. Tisza is F**ked.

💥🗳️I’m speechless. Hungary’s election turnout is 66,01% already at 3pm (2022: 52,72%). Budapest & other opposition-leaning cities lead the way. Final turnout in 2022 and 2018 were 70,21% and 70,22%. Polls close at 7pm. It could go well above 80% this time. Bad news for Orbán.

@IhejirikaS48939 I'd also go for the same lineup. Much needed control in midfield, reducing the risk of losing the ball and conceding early. Control the game, build up pressure steadily and score at least one goal in the first half.

This is how I would line up vs Atleti on Tuesday. My Explanation is as follows; - Firstly, I can understand the reason why most would want Olmo as False 9 or Rashford as the Left winger but I’ll try to explain why they probably shouldn’t start. - Gavi is essential to control the game with 4 midfielders like we did yesterday. He’s also essential in that he leads the press from the front, stopping all those long balls over the top that Atleti have used to hurt us this year. He is aggressive in the press, allows for role reversals Pedri, aids in build up, wins his duels & more importantly provides the much needed steel & will that was sorely lacking with Raphinha missing. - Lewandowski acts as a reference for the team inside the box as Atleti will definitely have 10 men behind the ball. He’s also our best scorer & will be helpful with set pieces inside BOTH boxes. - Lamine needs help on the right & the best person to provide that help is Cancelo. Unfortunately Cancelo is also needed on the left hand side of the attack, as he’s the only natural width we have there to attack Atleti’s right hand side. - Now, since Lamine isn’t going to get much help from his full back, he can vary his play by coming infield at times for Fermin to stay out wide & seek to combine. Fermin is essential as he brings natural grit, goalscoring prowess, youth, tactical flexibility & understanding with Lamine. - Pedri + De Jong to play around Atleti’s press, hold onto possession and be creative from deep. - Araujo starts mainly to babysit the defense. Aggressive front foot press, effective on set pieces in BOTH boxes as well as recovery pace when the offside trap is breached. He definitely will become the natural press trigger for Atleti but with Frenkie + Pedri (+Gavi) we essentially bail him out in build up. He also comfortably takes care of Ademola quite easily as well. - Joan Garcia + Gerard Martin + Eric Garcia. The Trifecta to start the play from behind. They simply cannot be effectively pressed by the opposition because they can hurt you with their passing & they somehow compliment each other (as Centre backs) All in all, Olmo, Rashford, Kounde, Balde, Ferran & Bernal could all be useful in certain game states especially in the second half.

But what I’ll say is, Gavi + Araujo are essential. 👍

🇹🇷🇦🇷🧠 Arda Turan: "I learned defensive discipline in football from Diego Simeone. A team must be capable of both attacking AND defending! Even a highly talented player can only be effective with the ball for about 2-3 minutes per match; for the rest of the time, they have to run." "I need to confront my young Brazilian players with this reality. They have to believe in defense and embrace it. Young players may not shine in every match, but a solid defensive performance always keeps them in the game." "That's why I intervene so actively throughout the match. We need that energy and concentration in defense. Moreover, football around the world is increasingly turning into a one-on-one, high-intensity defensive game."
