Yesterday in Addis Ababa, I was pleasure to meet H.E. Mrs. Birgitt Ory @Germany_AU, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ethiopia and Permanent Observer to the African Union @GerEmbAddis. We reaffirmed the strength of the AU–Germany strategic partnership and commitment to advancing shared priorities. We also exchanged views on peace and security developments in Africa and preparations for the #Berlin conference on Sudan, reaffirming our collective commitment to multilateral cooperation in support of global peace, stability, and shared prosperity.

We mark four years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The EU remains committed to supporting Ukraine in achieving a just and lasting peace based on the principles of the UN charter, essential for Ukraine’s future and Europe’s long term security. #standwithUkraine

Germany is supporting economic inclusion & political participation of women & girls across Africa. A recent high-level dialogue in Nigeria, together with ‘Stand with a Girl’ (SWAG), focused on strengthening the rights of women living in displaced contexts. bit.ly/4aC9t9W
