@virginmedia Having spoken again to @virginmedia support again, they offered to disable wifi for me. Unbeknown to me, this meant putting the hub into modem mode. Now, having tried myself to reset back to router mode, the hub is just flapping between modem and router mode. Very frustrating.

@GerardNPhillips Hi Gerard thanks for your reply. To confirm, what you need to do is turn your Hub to Modem Mode, this will automatically disable the WiFi and you should be able to do the set up here. Hope this helps. ^TW

@virginmedia - I want to disable the wifi on my Virgin home Hub3.0 - but within hours of disabling it, its been re-enabled without my knowledge. I tried customer services, and was simply told it was "not possible to turn off your wifi". I feel like I was fobbed off.

@virginmedia Hi, unfortunately, @virginmedia , turning my hub3 to modem mode is no good to me. I want the hub to route out to the internet for me, and to switch locally, but just with the RF of the wifi turned off.

@virginmedia All I am trying to do, is to disable 2.4 and 5G wireless, but these two disable ticks will revert to Enable in <2 hours.

@GerardNPhillips Sorry to hear that! How long do they usually stay for? Are you noticing the hub rebooting when the settings change back again? You can also turn off Wi-Fi optimisation via the advanced hub settings. Are you trying to swap the hub to router mode? |MT

@virginmedia The Hub WiFi does not reach my top floor, so I turn off wifi, and use my own mesh wifi system. When the hub turns wifi back on, it interferes with my mesh wifi. My mesh wifi just connects to a Hub rj45

@virginmedia Hi, the config changes that I make last for a couple of hours. I make no more changes, and the Hub does not reboot. Either the Hub reverts the changes, or something at your end reverts the change. I am not trying to change the hub mode. I just want to disable the wifi.

@virginmedia A call you your customer support @virginmedia, was not helpful - I was told that it was "not supported" to turn off the wifi.....

@virginmedia @virginmedia - Hi, yes I know there is a page where I can turn the 2.4 and 5G off. But when I do that, some time later, they will be back on again. Is this part of your "Wifi optimisation"?? My changes will not stick.
