Decentralisation comes from fair distribution and ownership. A project owned by VC's is not decentralised regardless of how many nodes are run. The users must own the protocol. Hyperliquid did this. Just the way Bitcoin started fair for all. Unfortunately 99% of current chains & projects can only claim decentralisation via nodes ran, whilst they reserved 90% of the supply for themselves & VC's. $HYPE will continue to win. Hyperliquid is the pinnacle of crypto.

Class of '17 here. I watched every iteration of onchain trading from EtherDelta on. Beautiful but incremental changes. Then I found @HyperliquidX in Jan'24, and it was a 0-to-1 moment. They took what I felt were the best parts of the great L1s that came before: fixed supply, community-owned tokenomics. Composable infrastructure. Raw performance gradually decentralizing over time. And built something special. $6B in average daily trading volume (@asxn_r ). Majority of all onchain perp futures volume (DeFi Llama). 40% of volume now comes from RWA perpetual futures and binary outcome contracts (ASXN). Its smart contract environment supports an expanding ecosystem of lending, options, and decentralized exchanges. ~$2M in daily free cash flow from trading fees (hypurrscan), 99% of which buys back and burns HYPE alongside all HyperEVM gas fees. Bloomberg cited its oil contract as the most relevant price during a geopolitical crisis on a Sunday. HYPE has decoupled from the broader crypto market, up 65% YTD (Coingecko). House of all finance.
