@GetUnlabeled @jkwcic Yes. It's pure coconut oil. It absorbs directly into the bloodstream and doesn't really need her enzymes to break down.

When I started carnivore compared to when my daughter started. For me, it was easy. - I could eat all the fat I wanted and readily use it for energy because my gut was healthy and had no issues absorbing it. - I didn't need carbs for energy because I had fat. - I could use as much stored fat as I wanted because I was overweight. For my daughter, it's not so easy. - She needs fat for energy but she can't eat too much at one time because her body doesn't absorb it well and it goes right through her. - She can't rely on carbs for energy because she has diabetes type 3c. - She can't use stored fat for energy because she's severely underweight and has a very low body fat %. I wish it was as easy for her as it was for me. If it was, she'd probably be running circles around me right now.

@jkwcic I have had a few people mention those. I haven't tried them yet. They are on my list of things to possibly try if I need to tweak her diet further.

Oh I believe that too! And how badly I wish I could do that for her. She's just not breaking down fat very well right now, even with the increase in enzyme capsules. The fat malabsorption is a complex issue I'm dealing with. As soon as she shows signs of a much better increase in fat absorption and weight gain, it's on 😁

Day 63 & 64 Morning Glucose - 164 & 97 BP - 93/64 & 99/67 This is day 4 & 5 without metformin. The night before last, her blood sugars were in the low-mid 100s all night long but she woke up feeling good with no pain. By breakfast time, her sugar was 164 and she took 3 units of fast-acting insulin along with her 10 units of long-acting. Yesterday, her blood sugar ranged from 110-170. She did take 3 units of long-acting insulin for breakfast and lunch, but none needed at dinnertime. Sugars were 90-110 throughout the night. Hoping to see an even lower range today 🙏 A few things that happened yesterday which look very promising: 1. Blood sugars Her blood sugars seem to be staying pretty consistent in the 100s ranging anywhere from 90-180. On metformin, they ranged 70-220. Her sugar would spike to high 100s and sometimes above 200, especially after activity. She still sometimes needed fast-acting insulin. Without metformin, her fasting sugar is a little higher, and she does still take fast-acting insulin during the day if it goes above 150. 2. BP and Dizziness Yesterday morning, she did have mild dizziness using the commode around 0500, but it wasn't enough to cause her to feel faint. Her BP seems to be a bit better. Before dinner yesterday, she sat up in her chair and exercised on her bike peddler off and on for over an hour. While sitting up in her chair, her BP was 109/76 and she had no dizziness. 3. Bowel Movements She still had a lot of bowel movements yesterday. A total of six. But, while she was taking metformin, she had so many BMs throughout the day that I couldn't even keep count. 4 days before we decided to take a break on metformin is when she had her fall. Before that, she was not only up using her commode, but she used the bathroom as well and she'd dump her commode in the toilet too. So I really don't know how many BMs per day she had, and she said it was so many she couldn't keep track. After her fall, she only uses the commode. I'm able to keep better track and get a good look at them. Before stopping metformin, I counted 8-10 per day. They sometimes would start out more soft and formed in the morning, but by afternoon, they'd start to get very watery. I'd notice food particles that hadn't broken down, and even her tiny enzyme capsules, which hadn't degraded at all. Not only would her stools be watery, but her BP would drop low from the water loss and she'd be dizzy and feel faint. The six BMs she had yesterday weren't watery at all. They were soft and formed. Only one was a bit loose, but it wasn't watery diarrhea. She still had some food particles in her stool which is a bummer, but I didn't notice any enzyme capsules. Also, the fact that she's back to retaining water and keeping a stabilized BP is a good sign. If her body can keep a stable blood sugar, a stable BP, and no diarrhea, we can definitely work on tweaking her diet and enzyme capsules a bit more. I keep wondering how much damage has been done to her gut, and how long it will take to heal. I couldn't imagine having diarrhea for three years, and only being able to absorb carbs and sugars. Very inflammatory. She's not a typical case. It took 3-5 years to get to this point. Her gut isn't going to heal overnight. One day at a time 🙏

🚨 Near Death Experience shared on Joe Rogan had a lifelong atheist seeing his Dead Father "I sensed this black abyss like this infinite black void and I was getting pulled into it" He said as a lifelong atheist and rationalist Sebastian Junger's his Dead Father appeared saying "You don't have to fight it, you can come with me i'll take care of you, it's okay don't be scared" But he was horrified "Your'e dead, why would I want to go with you? I'm alive with my family right now" He begged the doctor "You gotta hurry, you're losing me right now" What would you do if this happened to you? Would you follow your loved one or fight to stay alive for your family? Have you or someone you know had a near death experience? Share your stories in the replies!

My decision making throughout the day depends on my first decision being a good one. It was always so easy to eat a brownie or three at 8am and say screw it; the day is already ruined so it doesn’t really matter how poorly I eat the rest of the day.
