here's a test for change ideas for bitcoin to *prevent* something: if you made the analogous change to TCP/IP to achieve what you're asking for on bitcoin, would it work?
try it out: could you stop spam by modifying TCP/IP?

I've always wrestled with the idea in bitcoin that "deflation for deflation sake is inherently good" (often pitched by larping pseudo Austrian economists). Demand drops, markets slow, we get recession.

21M base money aligns fine, any quantity of money is sufficient to do the work of money in an economy. What is strangely missing from bitcoin echo chamber narrative is that it also needs an elastic supply of credit, denominated in base money and extinguished by it. Without that supply you get deflation, the real, bad kind. (Lay people mistakenly conflate productivity improvements with deflation, but they are very different things)
