@GiacomoBassis @justMizuyuki @CubeApril What I said is true in an average sense. Don't you remember people explaining how to exploit the MTG arena scheme that gives you lands based on your land count to get as many lands as possible?

@_jtl005_ @justMizuyuki @CubeApril You don't know their land proportion in hand hence you cannot evaluate how good lands are in their hand. And if they have 3 cantrips either you suck them dry of lands or even leaving one is more or less bad

@GiacomoBassis @justMizuyuki @CubeApril Lands are better in the early game because you want to hit all your land drops early, but that is no longer true as you approach land drops 6+. You run a proportion of lands that helps you to hit your early land drops, but by the end you are using brainstorms to get rid of them.

@GiacomoBassis @CubeApril Thoughtseize first so you can hit a specific card. Theres a possibility that hymn hits all non lands and then the seize is dead.

@_jtl005_ @justMizuyuki @CubeApril 2. Playing hymn first has a better chance of hitting 2 important cards in their hand and then you clean what's left with TS, it's not an opinion, it's statistics. The only reason to lead with TS is to check for permission

@_jtl005_ @justMizuyuki @CubeApril 1. You don't know how good are lands in their hand so you cannot make the assumption "hitting more lands is good and screws their game plan". On the other hand, you want to TS with perfect information and you have better information on what screws them if Hymn is already played
