@Giampoli

My Twitter has become a cesspool of lefty political drama. I don’t know how this happened. I swear I’m not like this IRL.

@TexasTrade7 @theficouple I don’t know how people keep repeating this BS. Like you can just go to a wealthy neighborhood. In my city all those houses will have a new Lexus and a Raptor in the driveway. Also a $200k wakeboard boat out back.

Ever notice this pattern: Rich people often drive cheaper cars but broke people drive luxury cars? ...Why is this!?

@Cernovich Ever notice that there are relatively few street urchin homeless kids in the US? That would absolutely not be the case without section 8. And whatever scheme they came up with to deal with it would probably cost more.

@humbleblazer They were beat though. 1985 G bodies in 2002 were already falling apart in a way that really doesn’t happen anymore.

@PluginHyBrad The reason a base Altima can start at $28k is because it doesn’t have to compete with all those pristine ‘91 Mercury Sables that would be running around… Apparently.

@innoc_bystander Had 3 different hvac companies gaslight me that I need a whole new system 3 years ago. I replaced the capacitor for 18 bucks and it’s worked ever since.

HVAC tech quoted me $2k to chemically clean condenser coil, replace capacitor, add hot start kit, and replace starter. I did all of it myself for $75. When the boomers die, I’m short HVAC hard.

Nobody talks about the true cost of homeownership. Hold a typical 1990s Florida home for 30 years and you’ll likely spend: • Roofs • HVACs • Plumbing & electrical • Windows • Insurance • Taxes • HOA Total non-mortgage cost: $350k–$700k+ That’s just to hold the house. Appreciation isn’t free.

A receipt from South Beach, Miami is going viral after a dinner for two came out to $289.21. Eating out has gotten noticeably more expensive, and people are pulling back. Restaurant prices were up 3.8% YoY in March, and 37% of diners say they’re eating out less often than a year ago.

🚨 HOLY CRAP! The Iranian-flagged ship Touska, which the US military seized yesterday, was in-bound from China “loaded with dual-use chemicals used to manufacture ballistic missiles,” per WP US Marines are now searching 5,000 containers on board. No wonder they tried to run the blockade.

You could literally: - Buy a $12,000 car cash. - Pay $0/month. - Insure it for $100/month. - Drive it for 6 years. Why aren't people doing this?!

The start/stop concept in vehicles is almost universally DESPISED. So, the Trump EPA has now REMOVED the ridiculous climate participation trophy the Obama Admin created to get this hated feature installed. The incentives for manufacturers to make your car die at every red light and stop sign have now been ELIMINATED!
The Wall Street Journal@WSJ

The stop-start engine has become an annoyance to many American drivers, who argue that it makes driving feel unnatural, jerky and unenjoyable. The feature, designed to lower auto emissions, is set to be eliminated by the White House. on.wsj.com/3OqcuDg

@Idleposterx @Laceeyez @TechOperator I get annoyed any time I take a road trip in an EV and I really like EVs. Hanging out in front of a Winn Dixie for 20 minutes every couple hours is not optimal.

@Laceeyez @TechOperator I would honestly be curious over the corse of a year how much time ice drivers spend filling up vs Tesla drivers spend waiting for their cars to charge. I can think of like 4 times I have been annoyed with charging in the 10+ years I have had ev’s.

According to the gas station trade group, it takes an average of 4.5 minutes to fill up and pay for a tank of gas. That's excluding the drive there. Assuming one tank per week over three years of ownership, that's 11.7 hours saved simply by owning a Tesla EV with home charging.

I look forward to Robotaxi coming to Key West. The amount of money we spent on Lyft for a week is obscene, not the mention none of the drivers could grasp that our house was on a one way street and would go on the wrong end and we would have to walk home
