The Giants would rather keep Lee for marketing purposes than actually try to improve the team on the field by trading him. They will end up regretting it. Same goes for Webb. Losing orgs always do losing things.

Just to clear up my last tweet I want both Heliot Ramos and Jung Hoo Lee to be moved I think Ramos is better, but they’re pretty similar, the money and control is my reason for that There is no baseball forward reason to keep JHL around, and that opt in next year is scary He is an extremely streaky bat, he is one of the worst defenders in baseball, and he brings nothing in the baserunning department. Making him “untouchable” is malpractice, you should be looking to offload him if the opportunity arises, not hang onto him at all costs They should be looking to clean house entirely, the chance of JHL blocking an outfield spot through 2029 is something they should have no interest in This decision to make JHL untouchable has nothing to do with his abilities on the field, and everything to do with the Johnson’s caring about nothing but attendance Until winning baseball games is the primary concern in this organization, we will continue to chase meaningless .500 seasons until the end of time Blow it up, stop keeping average players around just for the sake of attendance and start making smart baseball moves Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk #SFGiants
