Gladu on January 11, 2026, “Really, the whole point of being an MP is to represent your constituents. So if they’re voting you in under one platform –for you to switch for whatever reasons, just seems to me to not be representing what you’re supposed to be there to represent. “We elected you under this banner, and if you don’t want to be under that banner, then we deserve a chance to have a redo.”

At this important moment for our country’s future, Canadians with a broad range of experience and perspectives are uniting to build Canada strong. I am honoured to welcome Marilyn Gladu today as the newest member of this government and our Liberal caucus. In a time of global economic uncertainty, Canada’s success will depend on how we build ambition into progress and strengths into sustained advantage. Marilyn brings the practical, results-driven leadership this effort demands. Having spent decades of her career in engineering and international business, she understands what it takes to create good jobs, strengthen supply chains, and ensure Canadian industry can compete in a rapidly changing global economy. She has been elected by the people of Sarnia—Lambton–Bkejwanong in four straight elections since 2015, and repeatedly earned recognition from colleagues across Parliament for her proven willingness to work constructively across party lines. I’m looking forward to working closely with Marilyn to build a stronger and more independent Canadian economy, meeting the challenges of a changing world with lasting opportunities for all.

Marilyn Gladu: A lot of people keep asking me what I think about Mark Carney.

This is very bad journalism guys. You can't say "up to 40 people think X..." when your source is two unnamed "insiders." thestar.com/politics/up-to…

“It does show that each day that passes demonstrates that the ideological differences between the Liberals and the Conservatives are getting thinner and thinner by the minute," says Bloc Québécois Leader Yves-François Blanchet on MP Marilyn Gladu joining Liberal caucus. #cdnpoli

I just got off the phone with a political insider that says Conservative MPs are demanding Poilievre resign IMMEDIATELY. If not, a massive wave of MPs will join Carney's Liberals next week.

The world has never been more unstable and more dangerous. What we need right now is stability.
