The more I think about it the more I feel like this game's controls might be completely retarded and I don't think I even want to play it anymore. Like having to hit multiple buttons to talk to an NPC is just... well it's a choice. There might be settings to change it but I also really do not like hitting Q to activate "bow mode" and then having to exit it to go to a normal weapon. It's a shame because I want to like it. I really REALLY do.

It took a second for me to realize you activate it by holding both buttons, release one button to ask, then press both buttons again to aim the light. You use the sword to reflect the light though.

No it's definitely both. There is nothing that forces the D2 people to sprint through every map as fast as humanly possible. There is nothing that forces people to force other people to download 900 mods or they will be kicked out of the raid group. It's partly the game's fault for allowing the mods in the first place, but people don't have to be shitheads about it. People are REAL assholes in games. I feel an especially good example is League of Legends. You literally can't do anything wrong in that game or people will ruin your life, and part of the reason is hyper-competitive people intentionally making low-rank accounts to stomp on people. I personally know a few. It makes it very very very unwelcoming to people trying to learn. It's very hard to learn step 1 to get to step 10 when the step 20 people are preventing you from perfecting step 1 because they stomp you so hard. Riot tries to ban them but there's only so much they can really do.

I don't know? It's like right at the beginning. You fight a bunch of bear people and I died and after that I went to some mystical temple lookin place and after navigating it (precision jump wouldn't activate for me, it didn't tell me I had to stow my weapon) for a bit, I got to a section where it told me to reflect light onto a door. It said to do it by pressing CTRL and doing left-click to enter "reflect" mode (I can't remember the literal skill name). No matter what I tried, this "reflect" mode would NOT activate. I tried stowing/readying my weapon, I tried looking for a shaft of light thinking maybe it only works if you're in some explicit light beam, I tried altering my keybinds to make sure my keyboard wasn't screwing up, I tried activating it from bow aiming mode. Nothing would do anything that appeared to be what it wanted so I couldn't open the door and I was stuck so I shut it off because I had had like 4 other things just straight up not work at that point too. I'm waiting about a week or so to see if there's a patch and if there isn't or it doesn't fix anything, I'm gonna just return it and solidify my negative review.

Link was literally chosen by the sword that seals the darkness, effectively making him chosen by the goddess. (Zelda may BE the goddess, but she certainly isn't aware of that in these games if she is). It shouldn't be incumbent upon Link to share his entire life story for her not to be a prick about him faithfully executing his duty despite her being a prick. She actually loved Link not because He was famous or a Hero but just for Him, Zelda only hung out with Link cause She was forced to and only liked Him after He beat calamity Ganon and didn't even give Him a kiss or hug for saving Her, Mipha even died for Link. Fuck Zelda

Funny enough, I couldn't beat the "tutorial" because the skill required to open the door, for which it told me to hold ctrl and left-click, would simply not activate. Forcing me to turn the game off. I tried many things to get something to happen and nothing worked. Now I'm reserving the last 1:15 of playtime I have left to return it in case they update it in the next week and fix it. To be honest it seems like they clearly didn't give a flying shit about mouse + keyboard players which I find viscerally offensive, but I'm withholding my refund for now because I feel like I would like it if it worked.

Realistic is great. Non-realistic is great. Bad is when the graphics don't align with a specific vision or, provided that vision isn't something like 8-bit retro (like Axiom Verge, which has PHENOMENAL graphics), a fidelity that does not align with the standards afforded to the game (hardware available at release). My best example? Valheim. That game is very fun (I have 535 hours), the systems in it largely work well (except slopes/climbing, screw that noise), but the graphics... they're just bad. They're not "retro" or anything like that, they're just... bad.

We need to stop referring to non-realistic or dated graphics as bad or garbage graphics.
