Following the deadly antisemitic attack in Australia, @GalGadot writes, “I will light my Chanukah candle tonight in their honor and for a world of light. Only light.” 🕎

We need turn the devastation of the massacre at the Chanukah Menorah lighting celebration in Sydney, Australia into a Billings response. Billings, Montana, December 1994 - 31 years ago. A Jew hater hurled a brick through the bedroom window of a six year old boy who had a Menorah displayed. This act galvanized the town, and more than 10,000 people unified in solidarity, placing Menorahs in their own windows. Millions of people should attend a public Menorah lightings in their cities and stand in solidarity with their local Jewish community.

As we mark the Festival of Lights, our hearts are heavy following the ghastly terrorist attack at Bondi Beach, Australia, where people gathering peacefully to celebrate the first day of Hanukkah were targeted. We mourn the innocent lives lost and stand in solidarity with their families and the Jewish community. On behalf of the people of Estonia, we extend our deepest condolences. May the light of this holiday strengthen our shared commitment to peace, compassion, and the triumph of goodness over hatred. Chag Urim Sameach to all celebrating Hanukkah.

Avinatan Or’s boss at @nvidia wrote to him, updating him on what happened during his captivity and adding a lighthearted note to check his stocks. “Avinatan Or, I hope you have a good excuse for not showing up to work at NVIDIA for 738 days. Every Sunday morning for two years, the head of NVIDIA Israel’s HR, Gideon Rosenberg, sent an email to all employees counting the days you were in captivity and inviting them to a vigil at the Kirya gate each Sunday evening. Even the global CEO, Jensen Huang, mentioned your name in every quarterly internal meeting, reminding 40,000 employees that their colleague was being held by Hamas. How wonderful that you’ve returned home. I heard you have an amazing girlfriend waiting for you, loving parents, a company that truly cares for you, and some great news about what’s happened with your stocks over the past two years.”

You seriously can't beat Israeli ingenuity! This is absolutely brilliant. According to Ynet, the father of freed hostage Yosef Chaim Ohana, says that at one point, the Hamas terrorists gave the hostages a small radio so they could hear the Muslim call to prayer. “Not so they could listen to broadcasts, just the muezzin. But they saw electric cables running through the tunnels and managed to connect them to the radio." Yosef Chaim told his father: ‘Dad, you won’t believe it—Elkana Bohbot (another hostage) and I caught Galatz (Army Radio), and we heard you being interviewed. It gave me strength.’”

The Israeli Govt should create an award to honour the many valiant non Jews who not only stood by the hostages but fought heroically in extreme circumstances to keep the hostages in the forefront. I can think of no better recipient than @PreislerKa Who would your nominees be?

A huge thank you to a special lady @PreislerKa who for two years stood bravely and calmly, all alone, facing crowds of Israel-haters and terror supporters, many of them violent, holding a sign and quietly demonstrating for the return of the hostages. Karoline, you are an extraordinary and amazing woman. Our appreciation and love to you ❤️ 🙏
