@BRITs totally disgusting way you threw the names on the screen of those who passed away this year. Hardly respectful. Barely a second on screen … hope you are ashamed and think again for next year

Okay i think Debbie isn't Carl's sister but actually his mother, a teen pregnancy or something and she's been trying to protect him she's always been shifty when people ask her why she never had kids and she was about to admit something before they crashed 🤔 #Corriedale

@billysloanshow sorry to bother you but I’d love to ask a question at next weeks Citizen’s theatre book launch. Do you know how I can do this as there doesn’t seem to be a link or anything and shout outs would be manic on the night !!!!!

@Gillmeg Hi, to edit your booking, you can either click the ‘Manage My Booking’ button in the confirmation email you received or visit: book.glasgowairport.com/book/GLA/Parki…. If that doesn’t work, please call 0345 050 7080. This number connects you to NCP, who manage the booking process. Thank you, JD

@mikejwhelan If you can face it read @drkathrynmannix - she has written some amazing pieces to deal with what comes next and to prepare you. Anticipatory grief is hellish - absolutely heartbreaking but forearmed it forewarned

Many have asked where WE stand in regards to Home Hospice. Many have asked about home hospice. I wrote this just days ago, after meeting not only with hospice, but with Rebecca’s neurology and psychiatric teams—prior to rushing her to the ER, before the long nights in the neurological ICU, before her mind began to slip further into places I can’t always reach. There is a moment no one prepares you for the quiet, unrelenting crossroad where love and loss collide. Where mental health, or the cruel unraveling of it, slips in like a thief and takes everything soft and familiar. Where hallucinations arrive with sharp edges and pitiless vengeance, painting me as her enemy, her captor, her abandoner. Rebecca’s hospital stay, in her confused mind, has become a story of betrayal and abandonment, neglect, even torture. And hearing those words from the woman I’ve loved for more than fifty years splinters me into a million pieces. I want to scream that I am right here. That I have never left her. That I would burn the entire world to keep her safe. But inside her fractured reality, love isn’t always enough to cut through the fear. We are not there yet but we live in its shadow. Parkinson’s and depression have already stolen so much from her, piece by fragile piece, leaving us standing at the edge of decisions no one ever wants to face. The doctors have given us a handful of paths: new medications, the possibility of ECT, some rehab. Each carries hope in one hand and heartbreak in the other. If she improves, we keep fighting. We push hospice back into the distant fog, pretending we can outrun it. But if she doesn’t if nothing works, if every therapy falls short then we will walk together into the world of palliative care, into home hospice, into a reality where the fight is no longer about winning, but about dignity, comfort, and love until her last breath. I need to know I’ve done everything possible for her. I need to know I’ve left nothing untried, no door unopened, no whisper of hope ignored. Because she is my whole world. And yet, this journey is breaking me. Every decision feels like a wager against time. Every conversation with doctors, every sleepless night, every faltering step reminds me of just how fragile everything is. But beneath all the exhaustion, the fear, and the quiet terror, one truth keeps me standing: love shows up. Every morning. Every night. In every pill sorted, every appointment made, every hand held through the storm. For now, we wait. We try. We hope. And I hold her hand like it’s the only thing tethering me to this earth because in so many ways, it is.

During U2's Live Aid performance, Bono saw a girl being choked by the crowd, called for her rescue from security and went down into the pit to hug her and dance with her for a few moments. Here's that magical moment that went around the world.

@bookingcom absolutely furious. We are trying to contact the owner and no response. We are insecure in the property and no one seems to care. So that’s our Friday night gone as we can’t go out and leave the property u locked.

Ticket for The Longest Day, when @U2 played the Milton Keynes Bowl with the likes of Billy Bragg, REM and The Ramones in June, 1985. It cost £12! 😮
