The richest man on Earth dismantled the organization that feeds the poorest children on earth. He also cancelled all of the global Ebola prevention programs. The UN has now declared Ebola outbreak a global health emergency. Elon Musk’s dismantling of USAID has already killed more children than in Gaza and Ukraine combined. He cut lifetimes for millions and the result is a silent massacres. Nor should we forget his complicity in the genocide in Gaza, as well as in the war in Ukraine and the Epstein case. I don’t understand how billionaires think. If I only had one billion dollars, I would rush to fix our world problem. Homeless, hungry, poverty, wars, climate change... etc. They can be heroes and not just billionaires. What a waste.

Give A Shit About Nature
Give A Shit About Nature@giveashitnature·
Farmers have figured out that the cheapest pesticide is a strip of flowers. When you plant wildflowers through a crop field, not just around the edge but in strips running through the middle, you get ladybugs, lacewings, hoverflies, and parasitic wasps living in the field instead of visiting it. They eat the aphids, the caterpillars, and the mites for free, all summer long. In controlled trials, fields with tailored flower strips had leaf-beetle numbers 40 to 50% lower and crop damage cut by around 60%, enough to drop below the threshold where spraying was even considered worth it. The flowers attract a standing army to our fields. We spent decades engineering chemicals to kill the insects eating the crop, when the insects that eat those insects would have worked for the price of seed.

I want to congratulate John Swinney on being elected First Minister of Scotland today. For the first time ever, there are now three nationalist, pro-independence First Ministers in office in the North of Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. I look forward to working together with John Swinney and Rhun ap Iorwerth in the time ahead, as we stand up for the best interests of our people and for their right to self-determination.

Victoria Derbyshire, "We asked for an interview with Nigel Farage tonight and we got a thumbs down emoji from his team" "Over the last couple of weeks we've asked for an interview with Nigel Farage or anyone from Reform UK's front bench ten times" Jake Berry, who used to be a Conservative MP and chairman of the Conservative party, humiliates himself for 5 minutes trying to defend Nigel Farage's £1.4m house purchase dismissing analysis from the Financial Times Watching that Baroness Chakrabarti does her best not to laugh, then repeatedly points out Nigel farage took personal donations from a crypto billionaire while campaigning to lower taxes on crypto transactions

Maddow: So in January, Trump buys hundreds of thousands of dollars of stock in Nvidia. Then a week later, his commerce department approves the sale of Nvidia chips to China.  Also in January, Trump buys between 50,000 and $100,000 worth of stock in AMD. One week after he buys it, his commerce department approves AMD doing business in China as well.  The following month, in February, Trump buys millions of dollars worth of stock in Dell. Nine days after he buys millions of dollars worth of stock in Dell, Trump veers off script in a speech in Georgia to tell the crowd literally, quote, go out and buy a Dell computer.  Then in March, Judd Legum at Popular Information reports that Trump repeatedly buys up Thermo Fisher stock, and then he goes and visits Thermo Fisher on a presidential visit and praises the company. That same day, Trump bought hundreds of thousands of dollars of stock in Apple. And then that same day he bought the stock, he did another event where he singled out Apple and Apple CEO Tim cook for praise. Apple a great company. Then after that, Trump buys Micron stock. The very next day, he calls into the Fox News channel and tells them Micron is one of the hottest companies. CNBC reporting Trump makes seven separate purchases of Palantir stock. Hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of Palantir stock. Then he gets on truth social and praises Palantir.

How many gullible ill-informed Americans are actually taken in by these two shameless liars? RFK Jr: “People are going to jail for Twitter posts in England.” Joe Rogan: “12,000 people in the last year.” RFK: “It’s a dictatorship.” Rogan “They got rid of trial by jury” Their easily disprovable lies are both tragic and pathetic in equal measure. FACT CHECK: 1. The best estimate for number of people actually jailed for Twitter posts is NOT 12,000, but up to 60 people. Overall social media/online comms offences lead to ~100–200 jail terms annually and are focused on indecent/obscene messages (sexual content intended to distress or harass); image-based sexual abuse (including sexualised images of children); violent threats; menacing communications; targeted harassment; or incitement to racial/religious hatred and violence. In a 2023 trial by jury in the US, American Douglass Mackey was convicted and sentenced to 7 months in federal prison for posting memes on Twitter. The conviction was overturned on appeal in July 2025. 2. The UK is not a dictatorship. In recent major international rankings on democracy and democratic backsliding (2025–2026 data), the UK consistently ranks higher and shows less backsliding than the United States. 3. Britain has not ended trial by jury. Jury trials have not been abolished or ended. There is a proposed scaling back being discussed, designed to deal with court backlogs, not the end of the jury system. Scotland and Northern Ireland are unaffected. Even if the proposed changes are implemented, jury trials will remain the standard for the most serious offences in England and Wales (murder, rape, manslaughter, robbery, etc.), and they continue to operate as normal right now. IF the changes go ahead, which would limit jury trials for many "either-way" offences likely to result in a sentence of under 3 years, they are not expected to take effect until 2028 at the earliest.

Spraying one dandelion with Roundup can kill over 100 bees. The flower doesn't die instantly. Bees will keep visiting it for days, taking the poison back to their nests and hives. Never spray dandelions in spring and summer. They're one of the first major food sources for emerging pollinators. Let them bloom or remove them by hand.

Can anyone explain to me why Israel and only Israel is able to order people from another country to evacuate their home? Anyone? Israel has issued an evacuation order for Tyre, Lebanon, displacing 200,000 more people. Tyre is an ancient Phoenician city with Roman ruins and a hippodrome.

🚨 Tommy Robinson won’t stop lying about the Syrian schoolboy saga. I’ll link receipts below. These are some of the false claims Tommy makes in this clip: • Tommy did NOT spend 18 months in prison for “making a documentary.” He was jailed for contempt of court after breaching his own agreement with the court not to repeat defamatory lies about the child. • The libel case was NOT about whether the schoolyard attack was racially motivated. Tommy lost because he falsely accused the Syrian boy of violently attacking and threatening to rape little girls - claims he had absolutely no evidence for. • Tommy is lying when he pretends his “documentary” merely said “you are being lied to.” He explicitly made false allegations about a child being a violent sexual predator. • Tommy’s claim that the English boy lived with him for four years is false. Court proceedings revealed Bailey stayed at Robinson’s safe house for roughly four months, not four years. Robinson was also frequently travelling overseas during this period. • Tommy did NOT visit “seven different teachers’ houses” in his film. He visited one. Other individuals shown had blurred identities, and no teacher corroborated his claims about the Syrian boy violently attacking or threatening girls. • Tommy’s claim that teachers were paid £274,000 to stay quiet is absurd. That figure referred to the council’s total non-gratia payments for the entire year - not “hush money” relating to this incident. • Tommy is lying when he claims the judge said he could “never share” covert recordings outside court. The judge ruled that Robinson failed to prove his allegations, lost the libel case, and was therefore injuncted from repeating defamatory claims. • “Silenced” was NOT “what the teachers were saying” or what “school records” showed. No teacher backed his allegations, and Robinson misrepresented school records to falsely portray the child as a violent bully who brought knives to school. • Tommy was placed in solitary confinement at the request of his own legal team for his own safety.
