Which is why her article starts off talking about the gate-keeping of progressives & Hasan supposedly getting kicked out of DNC Convention but then points out the Pro Israel & Centrist content creators in Chorus who are "Pushing the party line." Centrist in this case is a Fence Sitter who isn't "For the people." Taylor & Progressives are "For the people." The term Centrist & Moderate do overlap. BUT, the way I see it, they're on separate spectrums & communicate two distinct concepts. 🔴Moderate: References Dem & Rep party - Means you are solidly with one party or the other but that you have more agreements with the opposition party or a bipartisan disposition when it comes to policy. 🔴Centrist: References Right vs Left Overton Window spectrum - Means you have such an even mix of right & left wing positions that you can't easily be identified as one side or the other. Both of these are conceptually taking an overall look at all of one's political positions to say generally where they land. There's no such thing as "Centrist positions" or "Being centrist on some things." There's right & left positions. Centrist & Moderate have overlap, but aren't really the same thing in a political science context, which we'd expect people in this space to understand to some extent.
