@AlexReilley1 My landlord would not enter any negotiations at all and we have not traded one day since March! I have just paid in full for 9 months!!

Just received (by email) a Letter Before Action from one of our landlords who has refused to negotiate with us demanding ALL rent be paid. Our site hasn’t traded since 4th November. Happy New Year!!!

@virginmoney I have been on hold to customer services for over an hour as I cannot access my business bank account since getting a new phone and the app needs to be approved but no text has been received!!!!!!

@pauline4glasgow I run a wedding catering company and have quite a few couples getting married in marquees on private land and absolutely no guidance on when we might be able to have more than 15 people?

#WeddingSector I have now had 3 emails today from couples who have no idea what to do about their wedding date as the guidance has not issued as promised. We need to give people the information they need to make decisions.

@edinhelp Hi - trying to apply for the temporary business closure grant but under hospitality we do not have a category - we do catering for weddings & events and have been closed since March 2020 and are in desperate need of funding

@edinhelp I sent an email & have received an auto response saying "This mailbox if for grant evidence submissions only" I do feel like our industry has been completely ignored @WAWofficialUK my application for business closure fund was rejected in October we have been closed for 10 months!

There is also a £0.5bn fund for grants to tourism and supply chain businesses and we are pushing to ensure guidance is clear that tourism businesses - tour and coach operators particularly - food and drink suppliers, wholesalers and wedding and event businesses prioritised

We are totally misunderstood and classed as businesses that ‘don’t matter’. All businesses matter to their owners, staff and clients. Few sectors have as many clients that have already invested so much money. There should be no barriers to the help available

@JessieSorores @UKHospKate I feel the same. I’m in Edinburgh and tried to claim under closed business which I have been since March as weddings for 15 people just are not viable. The click down boxes are hospitality and then the next click down box choice of 4 options - restaurant, bar, cafe or social club
