A Kenyan philanthropist, Ndungu Nyoro, rallied support to fund the education of a South Sudanese girl, Adol, after her story went viral on social media.
Adol, a refugee in Kenya, scored 62 out of 72 on her KJSEA exams but couldn’t afford secondary school. Following Nyoro’s post, Kenyans donated toward her fees, raising enough in under two days for her admission.
Nyoro later praised Adol’s intelligence and determination, calling her a future leader, and encouraged ongoing support for her education. Her journey from South Sudan to Kakuma refugee camp has inspired many, underscoring the impact of community backing and the value of education.
