BREAKING: 🇨🇦 RCMP are investigating after a driver was fatally shot on Highway 2 south of Leduc on Saturday afternoon, with the victim identified by family as 22-year-old Edmonton resident Birinder Singh.
According to an RCMP release, a witness observed a white or grey dirty pickup truck pull up beside a black 2012 Honda Civic near Township Road 490 around 2:50 p.m. The truck then sped off at high speed and the Civic pulled over to the side of the road, where investigators determined a weapon had been discharged toward the vehicle, killing the driver.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area around 2:50 p.m.—especially drivers with dashcam footage from Highway 2 near Township Road 490—to contact Leduc RCMP.
