Was talking to a couple of maids, both of whom had voted for TVK. Asked why they voted for TVK. Their answer was unanimous - they said there is a lot of drug use among teenagers in their areas, regardless of whether DMK or ADMK was in power. They wanted to try someone new, hoping that there would be a change in the status quo.

@aravind I don't think Vijay has fought this elections like the way the results have come out. This looks like a Mob mentality to buy a movie ticket and watch him.

Many have praised me for getting Bengal right. But they have missed that I missed TN. I completely underestimated TVK and miscalculated how they will impact DMK/ADMK votes. Tremendous performance by them. Kudos to Vijay and how he has fought to get such great results on debut.

You may like it or not. But, Vijay winning Tamil Nadu is nothing short of epic. Going solo & Winning just using his popularity. These are the moments that make politics so interesting And this isn't some aandu pandu poor state. One of the richest states & extremely critical for India's economy.
