ON THIS MEMORIAL DAY I remember two classmates one from high school and one from flight school who lost their lives in Vietnam. Both were US Marine pilots…like me, I remember seeing one of them in Singapore. Over a beer we laughed about being surfers in high school. We also promised to get together when we both were home again in Hawaii. Robby disappeared with his jet, an EA 6 Intruder and was never found. I went to Washington DC to the Vietnam memorial to say good bye to Robby and Jim, another A-6 pilot who is also MIA. On this day I give thanks to all those who gave their lives, the ultimate sacrifice. I speak for all of those who gave their lives, through out history by saying “Our freedom is worth the sacrifice.” God bless America’s warriors.

In sales, second place is just the first loser.👎 It takes as much time to come second as it does to win, but only the winner gets paid. If I know I’m not closing a deal, I move on. Time is my most valuable resource, and I focus on where I can be the top choice.

I closed a $5M deal on my 12th follow-up. Most salespeople give up after 2. Follow-ups aren’t pushy, they’re opportunities. Stay consistent, provide value, and personalise your approach. A “maybe” isn’t a no; it’s a chance to win.
