We literally bought a special wall rack for such items.

My wife was asking me why I have a pile of clothes next to the dirty clothes hamper. I had to explain to her.. those aren’t dirty. They’re *not quite* dirty. I wore them, yes, so you can’t put them back on a hanger. But I didn’t wear them enough for them to be dirty.

@ritholtz If you're into sci fi, amazon.com/Inherit-Stars-… is a good thought experiment on the origin of the moon, among other things.
English

Amazing 3D simulation of a giant impact onto the early Earth that could explain the origin of the Moon immediately after the collision.
This opens up new options for the early Moon's orbit, composition, and internal structure

@ZachWeiner @AnnieDuke wrote about it, I'm looking forward to seeing what she said.

@jaminwestby @elonmusk Microwave is a kw, but it's only on for a minute or two. I mean, if it's cloudy for days in the winter maybe don't do that, but otherwise you should be fine.
English

@GoBigAndHome @elonmusk It’s the: can we run our microwave at night while watching tv 😂. Our power draw at night is incredibly minimal, about 200w at most. All our appliances are either propane or we run it at day with the sun.
English

@jaminwestby @elonmusk If you're confident in your load calculations, then any battery that provides that amount of power (assuming you can generate enough to refill it) ought to work. No reason why you can't use a single power wall!
English

@elonmusk have you seen deployments of single Powerwalls be successful? Our off-grid usage is so small compared to what a powerwall can deliver.

Another year, another Halloween where @ZachWeiner is a "responsible adult", and explains to me that it would be disrespectful to use plastic skeletons to make it look like the dead are rising from the old graveyard on our farm...

@dollarsanddata Fwiw, I'm genx/millennial border and have always managed my own portfolio. 97% stock/bond indexes, 3% individual stocks and other outrageous investments - angel, crypto, Jack-assery.

Younger investors (far more than older investors) think they can manage their money better than professionals.
I wonder how much of this is ignorance (i.e. no bear market experience) vs. a belief in passive investing (i.e. they know most professionals can’t beat indices).
Michael Finke@FinkeonFinance
This is the second survey where I've seen this and the magnitude is pretty shocking - younger investors believe they're better at managing investments than professionals. More than twice as many under 45 think they can beat the pros vs. investors 55 and older. N=2,500

@jposhaughnessy @brainpicker Personality trumping character was a mistake of our recent culture, IMHO.

@EnergyVanguard @emporia_energy Are the spikes an electric resistance stovetop? That's such a high frequency of draw! The dhw guess for the large jump sounds reasonable.

Hmmm. What’s going on here? This a screenshot of my @emporia_energy Vue electricity monitor this evening.
