I noticed a lot of the hatesteam media coverage of "@elonmusk to proceed with twitter acquisition" is suggesting that this deal could change the outcome of future elections.. ..which implies that allowing currently silenced voices to be heard would change election outcomes.

@stevenmarkryan @elonmusk Not only that. But they feel the crackdown on bots would also overturn the election in an unfavourable direction. Anyone who opposes greater freedom of speech and greater transparency in debate is hiding something and/or manipulating you.

@stopitPutin @Seveerity @macergifford I suspect the Russian rout was so manic that there is little chance they laid complex minefields. Likely the mined the main roads and the fortified positions and that's it. Very different to patrols in Afghanistan or advances in Iraq against well fortified defensive positions

@AlastairMorgan Is it in a mess, or is the media telling you it's in a mess. What's actually gone wrong? Interest rates are half what it was during the early 00s. Energy prices are a global issue, Germany has rationing! Unemployment remains low. I can't see any issues that are catastrophic

If you are talking about building a level of public transportation infrastructure to match NYC in every million population city in America, it would cost tens of trillions of dollars, and would only impact 26 million or roughly 8% of America

If you were to pay for it through higher city taxes or state taxes maybe. But NYC gets millions of tourists, so why should they benefit from higher taxes on NYers

@elonmusk @LindseyGrahamSC The simple truth is those areas have majority Russian ethnicity due to the planned depopulation of Ukraine known as the Holodomor. They then encouraged Russians to move to Ukraine and settle the depopulation land. This isn't ancient history, it's one generation!
