The Muslim god is not the God of the Bible. The Mormon Jesus is not the Jesus of the Bible. The Jehovah’s Witness Jesus is not the Jesus of the Bible. The Roman Catholic Mary is not the Mary of the Bible. The Bethel Church holy spirit is not the Holy Spirit of the Bible.

I have sat in a multi-million dollar home in Manhattan Beach. Beautiful cars outside. Big career on television. Money in the bank. Fame. Every trophy the world says you need. And I was absolutely miserable. I knew I was empty. And I knew I was stuck. I was enslaved to the things I thought would satisfy me. I had read the Bible cover to cover multiple times. I could quote it. I could teach it. I could debate anyone in a room about theology. But I did not know God. I knew about God. There is a chasm between those two things. When the Lord saved me, everything changed. Not because my circumstances got easier. They got harder. Bank accounts dried up. My reputation was attacked. I was embarrassed to walk into a mall. But for the first time in my life, I had peace. Not the peace the world gives. The peace that makes no sense when everything around you is falling apart. I am not sharing this to impress anyone. I am sharing this because there are men reading this right now who have the career, the house, the income, and the respect. And you are empty. You know something is off. You know the trophies are not enough. Stop running. The answer is not another deal, another title, or another achievement. The answer is submitting your life to Jesus. What does that mean? It means living according to His Word, not your preferences. (Ps. 1) It means confessing your sins to a faithful Father. (1 Jn. 1:9)  It means submitting to faithful pastors who will preach and teach God’s Word. (Heb 13:17) It means forsaking the world, and living for Christ. (Matthew 6:24) Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
