A bottle of water contains 500ML, and it cost J$100 in the corner shop or on the street. Two of these bottles of water make one litre and cost J$200. A litre of gas is J$185 at the pump. Water costs more than gas! If we really want to encourage healthy consumption, remove GCT from water and other healthy alternatives so that people can afford to buy them.

@JamaicanLabrat To be fair, it's allegedly retroactive to when the decision was made to change it (September 2025), and not to May 2023.

I'm all for the man taking the salary outlined for the role, but taking the retroactive pay after HE declined just doesn't sit well with me. So all that was a gimmick? Tricksyou? Should a just take it from morning if he wasn't gonna stand on it 🤷
