On Monday, February 23, members of the Hanover Police Division conducted coordinated operations in sections of Green Island and the Lucea policing area as part of an ongoing crime-fighting initiative. The joint operation was led by the Divisional Commanding Officer, Superintendent Andrew Nish, and the Operations Officer, Deputy Superintendent Dean Watson, along with teams from the Special Operations Unit, the Area Fugitive Apprehension Team, the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch (PSTEB), and other supporting departments. During the operation, officers seized a prohibited firearm fitted with a magazine containing one live 9mm round. All eight occupants of the premises were taken into custody and are expected to be jointly charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Unauthorised Possession of Ammunition. The Hanover Police Division remains resolute in its fight against crime and will continue conducting operations across the parish. #AForce4Good
