@FoxNews Bernie Sanders is right to raise a hard question about inequality when one of the richest individuals like Elon Musk holds that much wealth while millions struggle, something in the system deserves serious scrutiny.

@themaskedboiler @StockTalks21 They can’t win it all without Cason. And I think they lack the ability to compete against more physical teams like Purdue.
English

@StockTalks21 Before Cason went down they felt inevitable, like a big run WAS coming. Don’t necessarily feel that anymore.

In my opinion, Michigan has been the best team in college basketball this season.
They check all the boxes to cut down the nets.
Do you think the Wolverines will get it done?

Yaxel Lendeborg carries no injury designation for Michigan men's basketball's NCAA Tournament opener against Howard.

@_ZachShaw He was never hurt. He was just exhausted after playing 35+ minutes a game 3 days straight.

@MarchMadnessMBB @TheAndyKatz You left out the entire Michigan starting lineup

@CBKReport You failed to mention Purdue is one of just two teams who went 7-0 on neutral courts

Outside of the one seeds, I think Purdue is the most likely team to win the national title.
The Boilermakers were the preseason favorite, but five home losses have lowered the hype on them.
Purdue's No. 1-rated offense, led by Braden Smith, is a force to be reckoned with and will keep them in the game against anyone.
The Boilers have the size, shooting, and depth to win it all.
Defense has been a question mark at times, but opponents have had unreal shooting luck, especially at Mackey Arena.
If Purdue can get past Arizona, I think they've got a real chance of winning it all. 🚂

@cobrastats Fletcher’s shooting gets better when Cluff and TKR are on the court. Much more 2nd chance wide open 3’s from offense rebounds coming in from the bigs.

@major_mosby @Clevta @Real_Hustl3r @PTBryce47 The NET rating is full season data with that lineup—of which yes, there is a blip of Michigan in there too. Man you Michigan fans can’t seem to get past that loss? I’ve moved on. But you guys can’t seem to move past it. It’s wild to see.
English

@GoldenThreeeeew @Clevta @Real_Hustl3r @PTBryce47 Ahh comparing the usage to a Michigan game that is without LJ Cason

Seeing a lot of Purdue as a F4 and title pick which is understandable after their tourney run. They do fall into a category of team that I have highlighted in the past that often underperforms expectations. Elite offense and poor defense for a high seed. #1 in pts/pos on Off but 143rd in pts/pos allowed on Def. I understand SOS adjustments matter but sometimes these efficiency metrics can get overadjusted and can mask poor defense. They dont foul, which is good but they are awful defending 2pt shots and dont force any TOs. That's a recipe to get upset. Only two teams out of 49 in this data set reached the F4 since 2001 and none reached the Title game. #2 seeds in this bucket have underperformed their seed expectations by 1.5 wins. Doesnt mean everything bc if their opp goes cold from 3 they will certainly get stops but they just profile as vulnerable

@PTBryce47 @Clevta @Real_Hustl3r More just pointing out Purdue’s secret weapon. I’ve watched too much Purdue not to point this out. None of the experts talk about it. And Painter hasn’t started exploiting this until now. Maybe it was intentional. Maybe it wasn’t. But it’s a huge silent piece of success
English

@GoldenThreeeeew @Clevta @Real_Hustl3r I wasn't agreeing or disagreeing. I merely wanted to see for myself. I will say that the lineup is more efficient defensively, which was your original point.
English

@Clevta @Real_Hustl3r @PTBryce47 TKR/Benter alone…. Purdue is outscoring opponents by ~34.5 points per 100 possessions. It’s not a fluke. And you and all the data nerds don’t see it. But PJ Thompson and Painter know it and will exploit it. Mara and the Monstars… best D ever. They couldn’t stop it.
English

@Clevta @Real_Hustl3r @PTBryce47 This is close to 100 possessions. Go back and watch the Michigan game this past weekend to see most recent results. Go back to the game at USC and watch the runs Purdue went on to claw back and win it with this lineup. Go back into pretty much every instance Purdue when on runs.
English

Purdue has comfortably the best offense in the country at EvanMiya.com.
The last 8 national champions have had a top-7 offense heading into the NCAA tournament. Four of those champs had defenses outside the top 20, like Purdue (30th in D).

English

@Clevta @Real_Hustl3r @PTBryce47 The +/- tells the story:
• Smith orchestrates
• Loyer/Cox space + convert
• TKR punishes inside
• Benter keeps the floor open
Result: defenses break before Purdue does.
English

@Real_Hustl3r @PTBryce47 @GoldenThreeeeew He is pointing out that TKR/Cuff actually isn’t an improvement
