My opinion is one of the Cooper Flagg NBA Debut jersey’s should be sold to @NBATopShot and digitially cut up into a grid. Collectors will have unique ownership of specific digital patches on the jersey that represent a specific placement on the shirt. Sort of like the NBA Debut patch. 5,000 individual patches, and you will have a specific location of ownership of the jersey. The moment is memorialized as a digital collectible - that will ultimately be subject to a private buyout in the future. Why does this work? It expands the community and gives access to a collectible collectors otherwise would not have access to. $200-$2,500 a collectible based on location. 5,000 sold. Does it have a $2-$4Million sellout? I think so. @roham Does it expand the community? Absolutely. Will the jersey remain in a place where storytelling can be continued? Yes. No brainer. This is forward thinking for where the collectible market is headed. How do physical objects that have historically been held by individuals get opened up to the masses! Top Shot needs a new direction to pursue that engages a community they have not touched and I think this is an idea that should be considered.
