I’m sick of hearing crypto confused with a heavily-marketed centralised, mismanaged exchange. FTX’s failure is far from a harbinger of crypto. Quite the opposite: it’s a concrete demonstration of the need for more, better decentralised, trust-free technology.

In 2020 $VRA released a rough plan to burn about 3.5b vra over 3 years @ ~1b per year So far none of these have happened, but I'm starting to think that with the revenue potential to come, at these low, low prices, it's still on the table to see $VRA CS ~7b by 2024

@IOHK_Charles It’s difficult to find many people with their head further up their own ass than Ben McKenzie (good actor though.) Also jeez what an environment to walk into as a founder who has actually done things the right way…

@andr3 @conraddit Appreciate the dialogue, it is definitely not an easy topic to discuss w limited characters and not in a true one on one conversation. I think reality is likely somewhere in the middle of our stances. Take care, sir!

@andr3 @conraddit Theyre working on the moderation tools. I see your point & don’t completely disagree, but do think the moderation became flat out censorship of opposing views & thats not free speech or any version of it. Tweaking algo to silence & dropping followers sneakily isn’t the way either

The 1st amendment is many times more valuable than 44B. Keeping Twitter profitable will be a walk in the park if we get true freedom of speech and press. In hindsight, 44B will be as obvious as Tesla is now.

@andr3 @conraddit With that being said I respect your opinion and use it as a good reminder that this could always go the other way and that’s not okay either. Have a great day, Andre! Cardano gives us hope for a better future 🤝

@andr3 @conraddit (Laptop), debates: lab leak theory= lock users outof accounts, over the top fact checking on anything counter narrative etc. Fine line btween “moderation” & silencing opposing viewpoints. I hope 👀 that were blinded by politics will be opened w clear proof. No secret left owns MSM

@saylor As a general principle, for those looking for advice from this thread, it is generally better to own physical things like a home or stock in companies you think make good products, than dollars when inflation is high. I still own & won’t sell my Bitcoin, Ethereum or Doge fwiw.

@JoshuaPotash Literally why a decentralized, secure and immutable #Bitcoin network is critical to have as an insurance policy if nothing else. CBDCs will usher in the ultimate authoritarian overreach and censorship. The trend is quite clear and quite disturbing. Stay well all!!

Read Raising Expectations (and Raising Hell)
Russians can no longer pay for Netflix and Spotify with their bank cards, they also can no longer use Apple pay or Google pay. Before we get rid of cash and go fully down this path, it's worth thinking both about the fragility of the system, and who can turn it off and on.
