Could have really used a mentor when I made all these poor work decisions that are now catching up to me! I'm on too many research projects and have no idea how to manage this and also keep anxiety at bay. How does one find a mentor in academia?

Also I got more coffee which is also a bad decision due to current level of anxiety....

Now I'm back at an airport after horrible travel last week and have to make slides for a talk I'm giving tomorrow.

This is what LaGuardia was like yesterday (not in my terminal). Why wasn't I told to stay home? Why did they think they would get any flights out? x.com/CBSNews/status…

Still angry about this. Ppl were caught off guard bc we were not told to not go to work or travel until after everything was bad. I felt ridiculous going to the airport yesterday in the rain ($160 Lyft ride btw) but didn't have a choice bc my flight hadn't been cancelled yet.

Mayor said “If anyone was caught off guard, they had to be living under a rock” but sounds like he was caught off guard bc he did nothing to prepare for what happened today??
